I hate the fact that with AOL you have to sign in everytime you want to go online, that's why I downloaded Browser 7.0

I retract my earlier comments about Tiscali's 8 Mbps Broadband service.

Ever since I threatened to cancel the contract, the connection has been very stable. I was once connected to the Internet for 16 hours in a row and without a single disconnection (during the entire period). hmy:

The speed could be better though. The lowest I've got since the connection became stable is about 3.6 Mbps. The highest speed I've got is around 4.5 Mbps. I can't get a faster speed because apparently BT haven't upgraded the copper lines in my area. BT are saying that they're going to be upgrading them in March/April to fibre-optic lines so that I can get the full 8 Mbps speeds.

Tiscali Customer Services is still appalling though. Especially the Technical Support staff, half of them just tell you to do the bleeding obvious before they decide to do something at their end. :angry:

Wowzers, I haven't been disconnected from NTL for....several years! Trouble with ADSL is that it is dependent on distance from the exchange, so unless you live next door to it you're never gonna get maximum speed.

Cable > ADSL

NTL seems good and have good offers. The only thing that pisses me off about them is that they send leaflets through the door on NTL yet they don't even do our area.

i have bt option 1 £17.99 a month,sky are saying i can get the same for a initial £40 payment then nothing as it comes with your sky tv package.
does anyone actually have the sky broadband yet,is it any good.
the bt one i have has always been ok.

with toucan right now but in the next 5-10 days i'll be switching to wireless sky broadband - 10 quid a month - upto 16MB.

right i have checked moneysupermarket.com for some reviews and have come to the conclusion that i will stick with bt.the sky one seems a total disgrace.have a look for yourselfs.

Whoever voted for AOL wants shooting. I have it and it's a fucking disgrace. It's probably because there's so many people signed up because nearly every computer or laptop you buy now you get a free trial of AOL and people just carry on with it.

im with aol to its so crap the ammount of times you get d/c is unbeliveable:realmad: ive just registered my interest with sky an it says i can't get it in my area for fuckn 12 months!

they said something similar to me about 2 months ago but last week i went to the website n entered my phone number n it said i was in a sky area n since then ive gone through the whole process n im getting the service in the next 5 working days. im so happy to be leaving the idiots at toucan, they too tried to slag off sky.
