Can host online but not connect as a client(!)

Haven't found any threads quite for my problem...

I have forwarded port 5739 on my router and allowed access to that port by PES4 on my firewall. I can host matches online without any problems whatsoever and have done so lots of times, but I cannot connect to another player as a client. I either get the "Unable to connect" message or, because of the obvious reason, had a message about a player being in another game (which is fair enough).

Does anyone know why I can't connect as a client??

This is probably a bit vague but someone who was trying to connect to me had the same problem of "Opponent Disconnected".
The problem was with the client and he said that he fixed it by:

I added a new PC to my network.
so my router gave my pc a different ip.
and my port forwarding was set to another ip that i don't have any more.

he seems to have that setup already though zyg...which is odd

maybe the person you are trying to connect to doesnt have the same version or a nocd crack?

can this person connect to your hosted games?

Offtopic; Is there lag on the PC like on the X-box?
On the Xbox, you can't play a decent client game...

lag is dependant on who's playing
but its not as bad as what im hearing from the xbox camp, what with all the petitions and such for the xbox game.

I use the PES4Online tool so I'm assuming you can't connect to someone with a different version of the game (it informs you that you cannot play if you challenge such a person). I've tried to connect to a lot of people and failed, yet hosting is as it should be - easy. I really don't understand what's going on, especially if it informs me when someone is already in a game.

I wouldn't mind so much, only I've just gotten into the league we're running on here and my first game allows me to host - so my second probably won't....
