Can players learn special abilities?

Okay, So I am new to this whole blogging thing, about PES that is. Anyhow, I have been playing my ML for a few days now and half way through a season with Newcastle (they have some awesome young players BTW: obertan, Ben Arfa etc...) and I have to say its all looking okay EXCEPT:

a) the training system seems reduced and I am unsure how to get players to learn new special abilities - if it is at all possible - like you could in 2011, which was an awesome feature as it meant you could really develop young players into to superstars on the same level as current (real) players. Does anyone know if this is possible and how it works...???

b) secondly, how in the hell do you stop players from whinging about not being played; even when I attempt to assuage them with "I will play you in the next game" they reply with something like "well, thats not on", which seems a little too reminiscent of a teen movie blonde bitch retorting to her equally bitchy "friend who went behind her back"....

Any advice???

a) You cannot train them but you can make them gain cards by playing brilliant. Hasn't happened to me but I hear they can but can't fully confirm this. Training this years is a bit weird but is realistic.

b)It's because they can't trust you anymore -Look at their loyalty bar and if it's very low, they can't trust you whatever you say. Say if you listed a player in transfer list, and you play him out of position then his loyalty would decrease and so would his trust. So just ignore them if they say 'it's not on' and just try your best to make them happy like make them score goals or take set pieces so they'll be more affectionate and will trust you and not say 'it's not on'

Ah I see, so it is a little bit random how players learn ability cards - that seems a little more realistic to me as most of the abilities players can learn are not achieved on the training ground, they are earned through on-pitch performance...

Good advice on the player affection stuff, Cabaye aint so damn whiny now :)

Hi there

One of my friend just told me in ML he uses CHELSEA and DAVID LUISE
gained a new skill card "sth Roullett" (i cant remember the full name)
after 2 seasons, which means you can definatelly get skill card by playing nicely through seasons.

My concern is that 'Is the skill card what i really want for my players?'
I think you cant choose which skill card you will get, who will get it and
when to get it, its just random.I am not really optimistic about learning
new skill card.

Can you get special skill card like " Longranger, Enforcer, Ancher man" by playing through seasons in ML? I doubt it.
IMO, this 3 skills are very useful for AMF DMF, CMFs as Longranger will help you score, Enforcer and Ancher man will help you with your defense.

Yes they can develop some abilities. I had a player Otam who developed 2 skills. This was when I was crushing ML during a season on regular.
