Hi

I have played the hell out of PES12 this past year and loved it! Just played a few games on the demo2 and I'm struggling to find much different.

I've noticed that the CPU kicks the ball higher in the air. I have not noticed any player likeness at all, maybe im being blind but everyone is playing the same as usual.

The game seems slightly slower and much more refined I'd say. But I can't help but feel a little ripped off by this one...

I'm not bashing the game at all, I love pes and this game looks better than the last I'd say, but I don't have much money, is this worth £35?

Can someone help me? Whats the best way to get the most out of the game, I'm hearing about all new features but no idea on how to activate/utilize them! If I go on training mode will this help? (Note im a seasoned pes player, and don't usually do the training).

Thanks!

some important features

- R2 dribbling, use it

- dynamic 1-2. L1+pass, then flick the right stick for direction the initial passer runs to. very good feature this

- first touch. R2 JUST when your player gets the ball (timing window is quite small, which is good)

- R3 to flick ball up when receiveing it, again timing is important here.

- manual controls/manual shooting. manual shooting is very good. worth getting used to

Well if you paid for pes 12 and loved it then you should pay for pes 13 and love it a little more....or maybe alot more.

I love this PES. Also against the CPU, which wasn´t the case since PES 5 or 6. This is awesome, overall balance is phenomenal.

Nice one! The technical stuff is what I love about PES. But this is also the reason why my friends hate it. I got put down so hard when I tried to say FIFA was arcadey... FIFA gives the illusion when you look at it, that its more real than PES. PES takes longer to master which is good.

Loved 12 as much as PES3 so hope I like this. Messi seems less crazy which is good!

I really miss this in Fifa 13.............Is about the only feature PES 13 has that Fifa 13 doesn't and I want it.

Although Dynamic 1+2 isn't in either I don't think.

Just a quick note menace....

In Fifa 13, once the ball bounces in front of the player ...you can actually flick it up using the right analog stick.

It can be flicked overhead in the opposite direction or further ahead in the direction......you should try it.

All players can do it ...even the defenders (risky though)

Yeah, in Fifa everyone can do nearly every trick. It´s the most realistic game i´ve ever played, also the game speed is exactly how it should be and, furthermore, the ball physics are excellent.

BULLSHIT. Come on, if you are a fifa fanboy, go anywhere else. You get on my nerves.

Yeah I know you can do that but you can't do with every pass like in PES 13 and it would come in useful pretty often......Especially with wing play or tight to the last defender.

Isn't hard to simply flick a ball over your head and any player can do and all players can't do all Skills either.

Just saying.

The R2 dribbling in is game is a total game changer. It can be used to dictate the pace of the game.

Oh and R2 passes can be done by pressing an holding R2 and then press the pass button AND YES they aren't the same as a normal pass. A normal pass is used to quicken up the play. An R2 slower pass is used to slow the pace down, and yes it actually works.

Smoother gamepaly from Pes 12 is also a plus. Basically I cannot find anything that Pes 12 did better.

BTW don' take this as in Pes 13 is flawless. FAR from it, but it's enjoyable enough to play and it surprisingly much better than pes 12.

pes 13 is the first game in about 4-5 years for me that i can play 20 matches with the same team and not get bored, plus the double touch skill is unbelievable jeff ! especially with payers like neymar and di maria.

Will have to try that R2 passing, is this like an accurate pass or something?

The normal pass is when you want to speed up the play, useful for a counter.

But the R2 pass is when you want to slow down the play, for possession. The difference is that the R2 passing is more accurate and slightly slower. Note that R2 passing woks best when you slightly tap the pass button for a short but precise pass that won't make the player you're gonna pass the ball run to, run. If you do the same scenario but instead you use a normal pass, the player who will receive the pass, will run for the ball because the pass would be slightly faster opted for a counter.
