Can someone tell me

Ok, i've recently started a new CF, and i've got a bit of a problem getting a high rating despite playing well (in my opinion, atleast).

Here's an example:

^those are my stats after a 2:0 win in a friendly national against Venezuela ... now considering everything (i'm playing 15 minute matches on Super Star), I'd expect AT LEAST a 7.0 rating for my performance, and even that would feel a bit short, but i ''only'' got a 6.5 ... can anybody tell me what i did wrong?

Must i shoot more? pass more? pass less? run around less/more?

The only thing out of the above mentioned that makes a bit sense is I need to shoot more often.. but I really don't get that many chances, especially when i get subbed out at around 55 minutes. (i was scheduled to go out at the 60th minute, but the ball was in play for the remaining 9 minutes).

In fact, if i took shots every time i got the ball, not only would i waste most of our attacks, but i also wouldn't be considered a team player (which consider a big ''must'' for a so called legend) :p

Surely a goal and an assist is more that enough to get a better rating? And I wasn't really wasting possession or anything.. I'm not a beginner, but i really can't figure the rating system at times..

Any ideas?

Well, after studying it for another season or so, i've come to the conclusion that the thing affecting my ratings negatively is probably the fact i get subbed out early in the game.

As we know, no matter how well you play, for the first couple of seasons, you'll get subbed out early in 90% of the games, unless you spend all your points on stamina (and even then, in doesn't matter for the majority of the matches).

Here's the deal; I don't believe i ever got anything above 6.5 when subbed out early. Even when i scored two goals to put us well in front, the gaffer woudn't hesitate to send me off around the 60th minute mark ... But every now and then, despite not playing to my full potential, i somehow managed to play the entire 90 minutes. At times i didn't even score for those 90 minutes, but the rating i got was barely (if ever) below 7.0!

Surely, how well you play does affect your substitution to a certain point. I was, for instance, rightfully substituted at the 50th minute when clearly out of form (even though my form arrow was orange?:p) and so on, and i may have even been left on the pitch till the end cause i've played well at times (though that can only be a speculation).. but most of the time, it just felt random (and my rating suffered for it)

Now after analyzing the whole situation, this is how i think i works:

- The game is programmed so a substitution is almost always made around the 60th minute.

- This substitution is based mostly on the situation of the game (If the team is winning - sub out offensive players for defenders/ if losing - bring on the attack)

- the substitution is secondly based on your stamina (the lowest gets subbed)

- the less minutes you play, the lower your rating (unless you get subbed in, which for some reason almost always boosts your rating (probably has something to do with playing till the final whistle))

So based on those 4 points, my CF basically spoils his own rating by playing well, and doing exactly what is expected of him; For example, if i score two goals in the first 60 minutes (which is what i should be doing as a CF), and our team is up 2:0, at that crucial 60 minute mark, our manager will be looking to substitute. Based on the fore mentioned system, since we are in the lead, he'll be looking to replace an attacking player. And since we all know our created player's stamina is usually the lowest (unless spending all your points on it), he'll be the manager's first choice.

The problem is, being subbed out early apparently reflects on the rating as if you weren't fit to finish the match, which affects negatively on your match rating/negotiation success/career success.

That's my theory, anyway ... can any of you confirm it? :)

Well i notice another thing. i tried to play as AMF and I stay in the field till 90 minute more often (if playing well). I thnk this posittion is optimal. Also manager sometimes changes my position (when sub time comes) by moving me Forward (CF of SS) or back (CMF, DMF).
