Cant Play Online.

Hi all,

I have looked throgh all the forums i can find and tried everything i've found but no matter what i do, i just cant seem to connect to a host.

I have no problems playing any other online games, UT2004, CS Source, BFVietnam, SOF2 etc etc.

I know there is an issue with my ISP that prevents me from hosting games, but i have never had any trouble joining any (till now).

I have a 1mb ADSL connection

When i use the PESonline connection program it looks as if its going to work but once i get into the game and confirm the hosts IP it just says waiting for 2 - 3 mins and then says Unable to Connect.

Any Ideas?

I have turned my settings down to 640x480 and low res
I have the patch v1.10 ( reinstalled several times )
and when i try to connect i always make sure my firewall is off.

any help would be great.

Ok looking through the forum i think i may have found a possible problem
the 5739 port i found this qouted by ctrl alt del

"yeah if you put your computer in the DMZ when you want to play, you should be ok. if that scares you, you can also just forward UDP port 5739, which is what PES4 uses to play online with."

can anyone tell me how to do this please.

If you are using the NO-CD patch to launch the game you will not be able to connect to a game or host. I had similair problems and had to revert to the original .exe and CD to play online.

i managed to play a match or two, but sometimes it also tells me unable to connect. is it possible because my pes is not original?

I have an original copy but when I used the no-cd patch (because im lazy) I couldnt play online at all. It certainly didnt work for me!

so you're assuming that you need the cd to play online?

Yeah i am also lazy and had the no cd patch installed, first thing i thought was this is the problem and reinstalled the game and the v1.10 patch so i am now using the CD to run the game.

There seems to be an underlying problem somwhere as a lot of people seem to experience difficulty playing online

its gotta be to do with my router but i cant work it out. my router is a single port i may change to a pci adsl modem as i dont seem the point of having a single port router (its what came with the ADSL package i signed up 4)
