It is still impossible to stop dribblers. Super frustrating when I am actually trying to play some good football and have to deal with people passing it to a dribbler and him walking it into the net.

stand off them but stay close, try forcing them out wide and press x to make a team mate pressure them, if all else fails try hacking them down with a slide tackle, ronny and messi r so strong they usually dont go down they just loose control of the ball for a sec givin u half a chance to gain possesion. i can contain them quite well even usin everton but now an then its impossible

Just press R2 AND SQUARE for the ps3 as that makes the COM position your defender automatically without your assistance. Then whilst the COM is jostling your defender, just press x to stand tackle.

Thanks, for the tips, i will keep practicing. I did not mean to sound "whiny", but I wrote the opening post just after losing a few matches to opponents who did not know how to pass the ball around to save their lives but could give the ball to C. Ronaldo and then run around my whole defense in a sort of perverse representation of a "direct" style of offense.

sorry to sound this way, but everytime im playing against a person who is allowing me to dribble im doing it. if im playing against a person who is actually competent at defense my game style switches to build up plays and passing game ;p

not every dribbler is a whore!
