Just signed Totti on a free transfer.

Ronaldinho's contract was unprotected and his value was only £18 million, meaning I would only have to pay that much in compensation...

I sold Veron and Jenas to get the £18 million needed and Ronaldinho is now an Ipswich player.

Though in hinsight, I should have realised accomodating Totti and Ronaldinho into the same team can be quite tricky.

My defence is Dawson, Slivestre, Billy Jones and Scott Mitchell.

My midfield is Alexis Nicholas, Tommy Miller, Ian Westlake and Ronaldinho.

I guess I should really replace Tommy Miller with Totti, but knowing him from my Hartlepool days, I can't bring myself to do it!
Super... Super... Tom... Super... Super Tom.... Super Tommy Miller :D

I'm in 08 now.

Yeah, Fergie got fired after the first season- United only finished 8th and he retired/got the boot. This was lucky for me, because I was able to poach a few of their players who had 'lost faith in their manager's ability' such as Rio Ferdinand and Silvestre.

What's the point of that? You may as well have not bought the game, saved £30 and just told your friends that you've won the league 75 times in a row.

Finished my first Chelsea season.

Completely unbeaten and broke Liverpool's 16 goals conceded record, conceding only 13 goals the whole season.

Won the league cup against Man Utd, 1-1 on 89 minutes and I won 3-1 before full time.

Won the league with about 4 games to go, which allowed me time to rest my best players for the clash with Roma in the Champions League. Who I beat 2-0.

Joaquin won about 6 awards, Robben won best young player, I won best manager but I got knocked out of the FA Cup by Liverpool in the semis. Drogba was third top scorer, and Lampard was second top Champions League scorer (helped by my 5-0 demolition of Ajax with Super Frank getting all 5 goals).

Think I'll defend my titles then resign as a Chelsea hero, before managing abroad somewhere. Managing Chelsea for ages must get so boring, my transfer budget for the coming season is £109m.

That's a pretty good team..in your game, does Eustace always get injured? and is your first choice GK any good?

To get rid of Eustace's re-occurring injuries, do a physio report on him then the physio should suggest rehab. Send him to rehab and the injuries should reduce dramatically. I hope Lionel Morgan is the legend on FM2005 he was on CM 03/04. Also, Cees Keizer was awesome on 03/04 but is quite poor on FM. Ahh well.

I think managing a top club for a long time gets boring. The novelty of having so many star players wears off after a while and the game just isn't a challenege.

I love taking a second or third division side, that way you really have to think hard about your tactics and the signings that you make.

Ronaldinho is in phenomenal form for my Ipswich side... literally winning matches single handedly. It'll be a travesty if he doesn't win World Player of the Year, his form for this season is averaging at 9.2 having played 20 matches.

My main aim at Ipswich now is to get on a few of my players' favourite staff list. I always used to get this on CM03/04 but I haven't been able to manage it on FM. I guess it just takes time.

SOG(son of a gun) i was playing cm03/04 with my mates today, i dunno if anyone here beleives in karma etc etc but i was using ajax and my mate was using PSV, in the first season i was chasing a loan for quaresma and my mate was chasing aruna.
i (obviously) failed in my attempt to get quaresma but i was offered Aruna by anderlecht, in a heartbeat i signed him, he proved to be a great signing scoring 20 goals in half a season, but silly old me forgot to adjust his contract details to set the release fee clause from 9million Pounds to 100+million because he is a class class player, my mate snooping around for players saw this mistake and bought him off me ...i couldn't do a thing about it. and just completed the 3rd season and surprise met with PSV in the CL and it was determined in a 70th min goal by none other than Aruna.
What goes around, comes around to bite you in the ass

I've already explained how in this thread:

He had lost faith in his manager's ability and was transfer listed by request when Barca were 9th in La Liga. I got him for £15 million and a £50 grand a week contract.

what challangeing is playin 4 an italian Serie B team, there all on the brink of bankruptcy. I played with Piacenza and my cousin Atalanta i had Beghetto and D'anna while he has Campagnaro and Montolivo those four playrs all were in the top 5 top scorer list and each at least won Player of the months once. back to the point, i some how manage a 3 month loan for Maldini and he was a catalyst for my defence un-passable human freak! and then i had to sell my assets because the clubwas going bankrupt, i ended up 7th in the end:( i missed out on a playoff spot.

A few questions, it's now 2006, the world cup year, and unfortunately Eriksson is still in charge of the national team. I've heard people talking about how they can manage England and their team - how do I do that?

Secondly, I have two assistant managers. The default one is Baltemore Brito, who's an invalid. Steve Clarke is the man, how do I make him the default assistant manager? I've tried terminating Brito's contract, but the board block the departure!

Thirdly, how can I provoke interest in my players who are up for loan or for sale?
