Cheapest way to play a patched game?

Ok guys...after many years of playing an untouched PS2 I've decided it's time to modify it so I can have proper kits for PES4...this is really inspired by the news that there is no striped kits in the editor and I know that's really going to get on my nerves.

Anyway...I visited http://www.psxservices.co.uk/shop/enter.html (not sure if this is the best site or not) but I'm not totally sure what I need. I don't want a mod chip, I want basically the easiest and cheapest way of doing it, I was thinking a flip top lid would be good...but really I just want the cheapest way being a skanky student and everything...any links to such things would be much appreciated.

Main choices are flip top lid or a slide card. If I had to choose, I think I'd go for a flip top too.

Cheers Zyg...can I just order with my Nat West card because I had a quick look and it seems to be an American site...it seemed to come to $49.95 whatever that is in pounds...is that the best deal there is?

I'll be sure to post what I think...I'm quite excited about getting a patched game. :D

Anyway, you have an X-Port, so there is a way actually to play copies with using no money. You need a psx cd, and then send an exploit file to your memory card. Then every time you boot your ps2 with the psx cd in, it will laod to a program like swap magic. Then use a home made slide tool and swap for the copy :)

Well he could just buy a slide tool, and not swap amgic software, as that is not required, you can send a program like Swap Magic to the MC with Xport.

Hmmmmm...if I can do that for free then it's very tempting...how easy is it to do this slide card nonsense? Bearing in mind there's likely to be a lot of drunk PES playing...if it's easy to break your PS2 then it might not be a good idea. Is it true for the flip top lids you need to know what exact model of PS2 you have and get the right version for it?
