If you feel the AI scripting is a little overwhelming and you feel powerless to prevent their inevitable goals then you should give this little handy add-on by Jenkey1002 a try (trust me, it will feel like a new game):

•Added option : Ball selection, injure, substuation (will be selectable after change match time)
•Added option : Change AI difficult level (easy/normal/hard/very hard)
•Added option : Remove script advance mode
•New features : Stadium switch ingame
•New features : Ball switch ingame
•Fixed : chantserver sound glich
•Fixed : match time bug
•Fixed : GUI bug
•Remove many unstopable movement AI scrip, improve AI interception
•Improve game's physic
•Adjustment : speed, AI active, Player movement...
•Improve GK reaction
•Remove many unstopable movement & AI script
•Unlock all leagues in UEFA CL & COPA LIBERTADORES
•Unlock all leagues selection in CUP mode

You can adjust the "new gameply" ai difficulty on top of many other toggles allowing you quite a lot of freedom to alter thegame scripting and physics...AND I am sure there are many more new features and alterations to come as he updates his software pretty frequently.
