I always thought he was Northern Ireland, which is UK.

no because northern ireland is in the empire,but not the kindom....when doing surveys on UK for EU etc we do not use Gibraltar,N.I etc,because although they're britain,they're not in the kingdom

Well since the technical terminology for "United Kingdom", refers to it as "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland", I'll agree to disagree thanks.

Gibraltar is a dependent of the UK, NI is part of it, there is no "empire" any more.
