Classic Players in ML

I'm all for the classic teams and classic players, but it really annoys me that they're always there in ML. For a game that is arguably one of the most realistic around, it seems stupid that by season 2, I can be facing a Juventus team with Yashin in goal, Zico in attacking midfield and Pele up front. It doesn't help them to win (LOL), but it pisses me off!

Fair enough, I could sign them if I wanted to, but I set out to create teams that would be sick in reality, not 'Dream Teams' that could never set foot on the same pitch.

Don't get me wrong, I have created 'Dream Teams' before, but they are exclusively made up of classic players. I wouldn't for example have Ronaldinho and Rivelino in the same team.

I think you should have an option in ML to decide whether you want to include the classic players or not. Does anyone else feel the same about this?

yeh i agree is a pain :realmad: . i also have the problem that i edited over pes and we united with my own teams and i dont want them in the master league either.

I always make a couple of created teams too, but I do it on a seperate memory card to get around the ML issue.

It's also crap that when you create a player with stats as good as some of the better real players, they end up costing the earth - like 30 or 40,000pts!! :realmad:

well in winning eleven 6 you can choose if you want to include classic players but the game is very old ( too bad )

In ML you can pick which teams you want to compete in which leagues, so this shouldn't be a problem, just don't choose PES or WE.

As for the classic players, just imagine they are up coming youngsters, or whatever, I would get sick of just seeing the same players churned out season after season, it's nice to see the teams mixing it up a bit.

In my ML, PSV have signed a few classic players and I think it just makes it more interesting, I have played them in the champs league a couple of times and had some really good games against them, including a 4-3 final where I scored a last minute winner.

Liverpool have signed Gullit and Matthaus, they are shit hot, nice change from Man U and Chelsea fighting at the top of the english league all the time.

I think having the classic players in widens the scope, once you get to 2010 it's a case of all the current players we know and love are retired or on the way out, so it's nice to have some quality players to sign. Otherwise we would all end up with Ronaldinho and Henry all the time etc.

The unrealistic thing I find about the ML isn't the classic players, but that players grow insanely well. Classic players and non, after +5 years, every team I'm facing is full of players that have the skill of Pele or Maldini.

i HATE the classic players in the ML .. real madrid have rumminege and yashin and klinsman and gulite

manchester have neeskens and krol and weah and pele

It ruins the Master League. It makes it seem so unrealistic.
