Classic Fowler Stats

Throughout the mid and late 1990s, Fowler was widely considered to be the most natural finisher playing in England. Fowler sealed this reputation as he scored more than thirty goals for three consecutive seasons, up to 1997.

Fowler was voted the PFA Young Player of the Year in two consecutive years (in 1995 and 1996), a feat equalled only by Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney.

Classic Romario Stats

Romário has scored nearly 1000 official goals, a mark officially obtained only by former Brazilian attacker Pelé.

He was selected the FIFA World Player of the Year in 1994 and is catalogued as one of the greatest forwards in the history of the game by FIFA.

Romário was named as one of the top 125 greatest living footballers as part of FIFA's 100th anniversary celebration in March 2004. Former Argentina international player Diego Maradona, in his autobiography El Diego, described Romário as an "incredible finisher" adding that he had not seen a striker like him, and mentioning that Romário would be in his all-time "dream team" without any hesitation.

FIFA considers him the best Brazilian player ever after Pelé, and in 1999, he was similarly ranked by the IFFHS, whom voted him the second best Brazilian player and the eighth best in the world during the 20th century. Other football historians have referred to him as the best dribbler in football history.

Classic Best Stats

Pelé described Best as "the greatest footballer in the world".

Best had a rare combination of pace, blistering acceleration, balance, two-footedness, goalscoring prowess and the ineffable ability to run through entire defences.

He was named European Footballer of the Year and Football Writers' Association Player of the Year in 1968.

Classic Maldini Stats

Maldini is widely regarded as one of the greatest defenders to have ever played the game, and was arguably the best at the peak of his career. He is well known for his influential captaincy, ice-cool temperament, his outstanding ability to play with both feet and flawless defending.

HOLY CRAP... that is really good, it is quite realistic for Maldini, but then again, even though I am a huge fan of Maldini, I never thought he would be THIS good.

Lol... maybe decrease the balance to 89 and stamina to 86. Even in his prime, Maldini didn't have such incredible stamina. The FK accuracy, curve, and header also might need some decreasing. The shot accuracy and shot technique also need a minor decreasing.

Gonna have to be critical of some of these.

Vinnie Jones. Defence 93?? Did you ever see him play? This would make him one of the best defenders ever. Yes, Vinnie Jones, one of the best defenders ever. Makes sense in a way... 78 at the maximum.

Romario. Stamina 76. No way. One of the laziest players i have ever seen. Around the low 60s.
And top speed over 80? Come on now, he wasn't that fast, he just had excellent off the ball abilities. Decrease this to around mid-70, whilst acceleration should be in the 90s. As well as this, decrease his dribbling speed to around mid 70s as well.

Tbh i can't be arsed to comment any more, all of these are grossly overated.

*Apologies to bring this thread up, was browsing for some player stats, and well...stumbled upon this.

Meh, i like it to be realistic. I think Romario would have got tired if he closed down defenders and the like, so his stamina should reflect this. Should punish people who use players differently to how they played.

68 for stmaina is not realistic mate, the game has problems with stamina as players get tired quickly anyway, so 68 would mean he would completely burn out within the first half, that's surely not right? Is it?

True i suppose...tbh i rarely look at stamina as i haven't played a proper season or master league in ages. Just play random selection against friends. I just know that Romario was a lazy git.

While i'm here i'll do Benito Carbone

Yeah, Roberto Carlos is annoying. I can't move him from Madrid to Classic Brazil, can I? I actually need the game-created Carlos because if you edit over any player they're shit at doing the long range freekicks no matter how you edit the stats. There seems to be hidden stats for specialist players like Carlos that means they can do certain things. Unless anyone knows a better way to do it.

Stamina doesn't affect how lazy a player is, it is how quickly he runs out of energy. I think you'll find that mentality and teamwork affect how lazy a player is.

Roberto Carlos

Roberto Carlos is known for his trademark powerful free kicks. He is also known for his speed and his aggressiveness at joining the offense, often leading counter attacks from the back of the field. He is regarded as one of the best full backs of all time. He finished second to countryman Ronaldo in the 1997 FIFA World Player of the Year award poll and was named by Pelé as one of the top 125 greatest living footballers in March 2004.
