Classic players

What do I need to do to unlock classic players? I know you unlock the classic teams for England, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Argentina and Brazil by winning the World Cup with their respective normal team, and I have unlocked classic players through winning the D1 league and the Masters Cup - so I assume there's prizes for the European Championship, D1 Cup, and maybe the D2 leagues and cups.

However, I have just won the Champions League mode for the first time, and I got no prize; would I get prizes for winning the continental cups, the domestic leagues, or what?

i just make all the classic players myself! and if i do unlock them it means i have 2 lots of classic players!!

I actually have also done that - I got the stats for a ton of players from PES3 onwards, and re-made the players on PES09. It's not been that good, all the players were very old when I got their stats, so they are just a shadow of their best.

Yes, you do get players for winning the domestic leagues, I am not sure if there is a way to know which things you need to win, because it has been a while since I did that. If you are playing at the PS3 then go to gallery and at the second to last screen there is a detailed listing of the players you have unlocked and the ones that you are missing will be displayed with question marks.

i miss the pes shop, as i could unlock who i wanted when i wanted, as also as i can never qualify for the Uefa cup (master Cup whatevers its called) i can never unlock them players.

I believe I did those instead of unlocking them, as they were needed.

I preferred the PES shop method too - the way it is now, I have to go through 30odd bloody matches with each league - only one of which, the Premiership, will be remotely interesting to me.

I wonder if I can get all the classic players unlocked before I go back to Uni in February.
