Club football is rumoured to have 3 different control systems. One for fifa, one for PES and one for its own system.

It does indeed. I kinda understand why they've done it but it does take from it's own sense of identity a little I think.

Whether that detracts from it's own identity I don't know. The default is the PES controls so perhaps, in that, maybe it does. We'll probably make ours the default for future versions though, once people are used the game more. Perhaps it's a case that were not trying to drag them away from PES or FIFA, we tryuing to lull them into a false sense of security :D

LMAO@ Fifa will be better....

I was playing Fifa 2004 at Playstation Experience, and the EA guy came up to me and asked "How is Fifa this time round sir?" I simply just went ":-\" for a second and his reply was "yeah, I know I know, it's shit again isnt it?" my reply was "got it in one"

even EA know Fifa will always be behind Konami's soccer series

:D

BTW, surely the control system isn't that much of an issue? Aren't all the buttons reconfigurable? There's quite a few PES players who still use the fifa controls these days. Whichever game they play, they will just use the controls they are more comfortable with.

Fu** PES3!! club football looks so much better than it in every aspect, and it also play's like PES!! It even has likeness on the ball, like pires looking flat footed when he runs, the graphics are also well, well better than PES 3, if u don't believe me go to the codemaster website and type in club football, the player's faces are also photo realstic, forget Fifa, PES 3 will really struggle against a game which does'nt only offer in depth gameplay but official licenses, coming out of it's ears even down to official player voices.

I have seen i magazines that their is loads of bugs in the game - u ain't played it so don't judge it by its cover.

No i have'nt played it but i have seen the demo, and the bugs are minimal and for a game of that size u would expect it, it is twice the size of PES3, and i think u must have read the PC Review because i think that has got quite a few bugs in.

Sorry, time to moan. It's for your own good :D

I have to tell you - there's no bugs in CF whatsoever, none have been identified by Sony and Microsoft in testing - there might have been in the preview versions but not in the finished games. Promise - plus it's not a PC game - it's PS2 and Xbox.

As for the demo - we haven't released a demo!

And finally for controls - yes, you're right Zygalski, they are fully configurable anyway so it doesn't make a difference - perhaps it's just telling that in this fiorst version the default Config. is PES-like.

I have to moan - don't worry, it's for your own good! :D

There's no bugs in the finished version - the games are passing Sony/Microsoft testing without a problem at the mo. The mags are probably referring to a preview code they got. But they weren;t too bad either. BTW - Club Football is only on PS2 and Xbox, no PC. And final moan - there was no demo of CF, we're not doing one (contractual issues).

Finally, yes Zygalski, you're right - the control system is fully configurable so it doesn't make a difference about controls really. Just some people see it as telling that the default controls are PES-like.

Ah! Got you - yeah, it was an unofficial preview of the game filmed at E3 in May for PSM2 Magazine. Yeah, there were a few bugs in then, but then it was five months before release! :)

Better than FIFA but still shit? Wow. Is this a backhanded compliment? :D

I know quite a few people won't like CF but that's life - like some don't like FIFA or PES. I say we're better than FIFA as well - but we're not as good as PES. We know this but we'll get there.

Just a fact - apparantly Club football are trying to pinch all of fifa and konami's supporters by allowing the player to use the button configuration from both of these games. Sneidy or what?

God, gamers are so untrustworthy. It's not a conspiracy... ;)

We put the FIFA and PES configs in there because we know it's pointless forcing new ones on players - it's better that CF is 'pick up and play'. There's still two of our own button configs in there along with a custom config if you want to program that. That's not sneidy, that's common sense. Yes?

I like that we're 'trying to pinch all of fifa's and konami's supporters' - that sounds very underhand and devious. Hope I'm involved in doing that, whatever it is ;)
