COM Smash my deffence line with one through ball or one long pass
i have an A rated Deffence
i am controlling most of the game
but in final 15 min COM smash me with one long pass / Through ball
and they got the win or Draw
i tried 3 Deffence Strategy
and 4 Deffence Strategy
but still no use :no:
any Strategy or hint

What you experienced happens to nearly every PES gamer especially
on Topplayer or Super star LV.

My hint will be tracking through ball pass carrier, get close and chop
those f**kers down using Well Timed sliding tackle, with some luck, you can even win the ball back, or at least interrupt their attacking flow. You need to practise to get it right in different situations.
The risk is red carded and get sent off, its your choice really, get a draw, even a win with 2 players red carded, or get slaughtered by COM
team.
It only works SOMETIMES though.

also i add something, Previous PES when you Press "X Button" player beging to press on COM but PES 2013 when you press "X button" your player do nothing !!

Go to TRAINNING-----Defence, new defence skills are over there,
check it out.(You d better take a look at other things in TRAINNING too)

I've also tried this but if I give away a free in shooting range the CPU usually always scores from it!!

Do you mean free kick? or a free AI player without the ball?

For free kick:

L1 + R3 to move cursor over goalie, after adusting goalie to desired position, L1 + R3 again to remove cursor(make sure you do that)

For free AI:

there is not much you can do about it

Been in your situations before, SHIT happens, KONAMI makes HEAVY
shit happen a lot in TP LV or Super star LV.

Moving goalie around is NOT a garanteed way to prevent cheaty free
kicks, you need to figure out how to score as many goals as possible
before 90 MIN is up to grab a win or a draw (for me, very difficult to achieve that), watch or play exhibition matches might help.

Sadly, you can't move your keeper online. The best you can do is press L2 and R2 and put a player on the goal line whilst pressing jump

to Spanish league in my ML offline, I dont think I will venture myself playing online with so many PES elites, still familiarise myself with the profound PES 2013 game play, LOL

You wanna defend like this:

I'm playing as fc copenhagen on superstar and i haven't signed anyone in defence yet, so i suppose i'm either c or d in defence, but i manage to keep them away from goal almost every match.

here it goes - you hold x button (ps3) to jockey the opponent and follow his moves. DON'T ever rush it, since this is when cpu will punish you. Most of the times i do as mentioned and then call second defender, being the one to save me 8 of 10 times. It's really effective for me and i've faced bayern munich, schalke, celtic, fenerbache, galatasaray without losing so far. If you have a slow defender or you're just under a lot of pressure you can press x twice to execute a funny looking tackle (rushing it) resulting in free kick to cpu almost anytime. This allows you to reorganize your team..

It takes time to master, but seriously it is waaay easier to defend than in pes 2012

(highlighted)What you said about defending (Super star) is very much spot on.
Just want to add that(for PS3) hold x and R2 is NOT enough, need to track the COM ball carrier, get CLOSE and win the ball back with well timed 2tapping x or lunging tackle, even though you probably will need to sliding tackle Shadow COM teammate 2nd or 3rd time who might snatch the ball away already afterwards to obtain the ball. BUT you can NOT depend your fixture result solely on it, (as a draw will not win you champions, penalty kick is just like gambling), although holding R2+square+ x does work well sometimes.

IMO, on TP LV or Super star LV, SLIDING TACKLE can be your life saver in P box in different situtations, if get it right without HESITATION, you will at least concede 1 goal less whilst against teams
like Barca using lesser teams. Because sliding tackle can cover larger
defensive area, I think in 1 on 1 situations your last chance to avoid
a goal is to sliding tackle down the COM attacker from behind with normally a red card, rushing out goalie helps too but not by much even
with perfect timing, bottom line is that with a penalty kick you can still place your bet on your goalie by pushing LS to right or left to SAVE.
You will need hell lot of luck with it(usually luck is on COM's side)

As for slower or lesser defenders (CB, SB, etc), double tapping x
will normally make you wrong footing on COM player depending on who
you are defending against, if for messi, this method is nearly useless,
might work on other COM players, all and all, it takes practise, patience
and some luck too.

This is the problem I'm having too, when you raise difficulty above regular the COM just pack men behind the ball and only attack on the counter, and you can never organize your defense as efficiently as theirs either

I believe most of the guys here is console version, but for the PC version guys, I use Jenkey Gameplay tool and remove the AI cheats, also drop down the AI level. It´s still super hard to get a draw, but in the last 4 matches I haven´t seen any CPU through ball or low cross to cause danger, in fact, they didn´t try it at all. I can defend much better. Pretty much of the goals I´ve suffered were from crosses. I managed to win the first cup round, but in the next match, all my team was purple, had to change all the players. Lost 3-0 away, one header, one long range shot and one own goal after a dangerous cross.

Best thing to do is get hold of the other defender and make him run bk as a Cover Cb it prevents it most of the time im not saying u can completely stop it but it helps for sure and 1 other note is they cam or ss who plays the through ball try charge him down with the opposite direction on your D- pad its like a "Lunge Tackle" works really well :happy:

There´s a gameplay tool from Jenkey, it´s like some patch where you can change some settings, as game speed, game cameras configurations, and also AI dificulty. It really stops the AI overpower after you score a goal. It doesn´t turn the game that easier, it just removes a big part of the AI cheat.

I play on Superstar because the attack is so balanced! I love it! Really hard and rewarding. But the defence sometimes just feels broken, too much! With this tool i can enjoy the game much better.
