Compare PES trailer with fifa Video

You can't compare at this current time as FIFA have released far more OFFICIAL information (photo's, videos and interviews) than PES 2009.

Therefore in that respect, infromation levels are going to be almost poles apart... you misinterpret rumours as officially released facts..

To be honest, despite the fact that it's not in-game footage, it still looks horribly like FIFA.

I feel sick.

No one can decide on such a small video trailer for PES. Until a gameplay movie is released, no one can comment.

yeh, PES definetly better. I know theres actual gameplay videos of FIFA etc. but have you seen the PES trailer!!! It's got Messi man and F50 boots and he did that mad Zidane turn thing! Therefore, its much better! Forget FIFA's licences and superior gameplay, PES is the best.

Word!

Yeah, that's something I wanted to see.. Leo Messi doing moves he never uses in real-life. It was great to see Leo Messi pulling off a Roulette -just- like Zinedine Zidane used to do in real-life.

The next thing I want to see in a trailer -is- Juan Roman Riquelme sprinting through the flanks and beating Defenders on Pace.

Maybe, Kaka doing a couple of Step-Overs.. and Cristiano Ronaldo controlling the Tempo of a game in Pirlo-esque fashion. That's Realistic.

I'm actually wondering -wich- game will be The Most Boring?? FIFA or PES?

The poor nature of PES2009 will not be boring, just a soul crushing reminder that whats his name fish guy at Konami is happy churning out utter cack and picking his cheque up at the end of the month :realmad:

I think it's possible to say that Messi has done a roulette in his footballing lifetime, just as most players have the capacity to do a sombrebo...

Give the Konami guys a break!

I believe that it is almost impossible to include dribble styles to every player. I would like to see it but it is a bit impossible.

I believe that it is almost impossible to include dribble styles to every player. I would like to see it but it is a bit impossible.

It is impossible to add Dribbling Styles for EACH player. However, a much better system is easily possible. For example Adding (introducing) Individual Stats for; Roulettes, Step Overs, Cutting the Ball, Body Feints, etc, etc, etc.. The BASIC Dribbling moves.

This way, I can have a Leo Messi that haves a "Cutting the Ball" ability of 95 and a "Roulette" ability of 70. It is nothing complicated, and would definitely add a little more Realism into the Gameplay.

I think that a good and simple way to come close to the "Dribbling Style" of each player would be to have for example.. Instead of just having some 4 Different Types of Dribbling -maybe- Konami could manage to feature 6 Different "Lower Body Dribbling Styles" to cover for the movement in the lower region of the body.

But also, include 6 other Dribbling Styles for the upper part of the body.. maybe simply call it Upper Body Movement Style (or Type).

I think that's what distinguishes players the most, the combination of their Upper Body -with- their Lower Body Movements.

Take Zidane as an example, Zinedine Zidane was instantly recognizable because of his (trademark) Dribbling Style, and his style of movement didn't have a lot of "Upper Body Movement". That was easily noticeable about Zidane's Dribbling.. he always kept his Upper Body kind of steady regardless of how fast his legs (Lower Body) where going -and- he always played (Dribbled) with an arched back.

Just compare Zidane's Dribbling with any other player's dribbling -and- you can see what I mean by "arched back". And compare Zinedine Zidane's Dribbling style -with- Leo Messi's Dribbling style -there's- a very noticeable Difference in their Upper Body Movements.

And also, compare Ronaldinho's movements -with- Zidane's movements.. this are total opposites, where Zidane looks steady and calm -Ronaldinho- looks as if he was about to lose control, his Upper Body and Lower Body always show a lot of movement.

Anyways, I think that if Konami (if it's possible) could develop a system that consisted of say; 4 Different Types of Lower Body Dribbling -and- 4 Different Types of Upper Body Movements -that- could be combined randomly, like for example having a player with a Type (1) Lower Body Dribbling and a Type (3) Upper Body Movement, etc, etc..

I think that a similar system could come very close to mimicking each player's real-life counterpart. Maybe NOT exactly "Identical" to the real thing, but it would go very close. Would it be possible?? I cannot confirm that, but it doesn't sounds Impossible.

I hope you are joking about the gameplay of FIFA!? Anybody who thinks FIFA has better gameplay than PES, is out of their mind IMHO.

I have no doubt in my mind that PES will be a much better footy game than FIFA. FIFA's got a looong waaay to go to catch up.

I'm so very glad that PES is being released in North America at the same time as Europe.
