Compiled info on WE9 (ML, future stars, explanations, screenshots etc.)

Hi all,

The purpose of this thread is not to ask questions like "is PC Porto in the game" or "Is Robinho playing for the correct team"! I wan't this tread to be about us who have the game, have played the game and want to hear ideas about ML, players, development and stuff like that from other gamers.

100% Translation to English: (here)

The form-arrows, an explaination: (here)

Complete list of all players in the WE Shop: (here)

List of moves:
Elastico, Flip Flop, The String: L1+L1+L1 or R2+R2+R2
No look pass: R2+R2 and then move another direction (or something like that)
The backdrag: (while standing still) R2+opposite direction than facing.
Curving after a shoot: R2+direction after the release of the shoot-button. (Haven't tried yet)

Dzi Germans & Future Stars

Okey everyone... This will probably annoy people but this time around in ML I've cheated some... Yes, I know, the moral police of gaming will send me to hell when I die but I do not care!

My favorite team is FC Bayern Munchen, not beacuse of geographical distance or deep love for Ballack but for the simple fact that I rule when I play with them.
So I traded my favourite young players to Bayern and remove some i don't like. (Yes, I'm a bad boy ;) )

I also created myself as CF/ST and gave myself around 75 in everything except 5 that's bellow 70 and 4 thats 90 (Heading, Balance, Attacking, Shooting Power). I'm a slow, hard shooting offencive force (#98 Nystrom).

Players moved to my team (GoalKeeper, Defender, Midfielder, Forward):
GK Lewis from Norwich
D Hosein Kaebi (Dagaka in the game) from Iran
M Diego from FC Porto
M Francesc Fabregas from Arsenal
M Freddy Adu, unlocked from WE Shop. (Ado in the game)
M Kallstrom from Rennes (I think?)
F Martins from Inter
F Rooney from Manchester United
F C. Ronaldo from Manchester United
F Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Juventus
F Robinho from Santos

Everyone of these players have great potential but some are already good, like Rooney and Zlatan, and some arn't good at all, like Adu, Fabregas, Diego.

Zlatan is one of my favourite players otherwise I woudnt recommed them. But here are the best players to get for your ML team early on, sorted by importance (1=best):

1. Lewis
2. Rooney
3. Adu
4. Martins
5. C. Ronaldo

Most for your money; future investment:

1. Lewis (He's gonna be great)
2. Adu (Wildcard: Could be great...)
3. Fabregas or Diego (Same sort of player)
4. Kallstrom (One of the best young free kickers, should develop into a great one)

Nice advice:

1. It's now possible to take created players and put them on a club team and then use in ML.

2. My player keept his correct age(24), in PES4 (as you probably remember) created players had to be traded to your team and started with the age of 17. You can still create a player outside of ML and then offer him a contract in ML.

3. Now players kan be as young as 15.

4. WE Shop players work the same way as created players.

5. To be able to move a created player into a club team or buy him in ML you have to create him in the SECOND create column and not the first... No not know why but it's a fact.

6. You can edit the development curve of any player... This off course applies when you start a new ML otherwise it would be pointless to have that option. However I do not know if changes made to a players development curve changes his curve in an existing ML, wouldn't think so.

Know you got a feeling for how i want this thread to be like. I hope more people post future starts, hints and perhaps not obvious game changes since PES4.

All for now. Should probably get back to work...

WE Shop Players

Another thing:

Can someone post which new players are possible to buy in the Shop. I've only played like 10 games before I had it pathed so I only tried to find Robinho before I relized that the was already in the game (Santos). I woundering if there are any new young players to unlock, like Adu... I don't care about Maradona, Pele or some old english goalie... Give me Jean Charlos "Anderson" Chera (Internet wounder kid, born 1995). Try searching for this kid... There are loads of videos of him... amazing child.

It will also be interesting to se how the game handles new players and retiring ones. PES4 only gave rebith to the old guys and gave them flipped upp values, like 95 on running, headers, shoot power and 50 on attack, shoot accuarcy and tecnique... This made a lot of superfast idiots with shoots from hell that sometimes (and i'm not kidding) didn't even hit the short side of the field... Hopfully new players will be generated on random with random names like in EA or ESPNs (2kGames) NHL and NBA series.

Confirmed new moves in we9

Hi,

I found out some moves available... Don't know if they are from WE8:LE but they're pretty sweet.

To do the Ronaldinho-move (a.ka. Elastico, Flip Flop, The String):
L1+L1+L1 or R2+R2+R2. Don't know if there's a diffrence between them but I seem to have a harder time making the L1 x 3. This move is only available to certain players... I don't all of them but Ronaldinho, Zlatan, C. Ronaldo can do it. They all have over 94 in Dribble Acc. But in my ML Robinho has train himself to a 95 in Dribble Acc and he still can't do it. So it might have to do with the different start on dribbling...

R2+opposite direction than facing: Moves the ball backwards while standing still. Takes a bit practice but looks good. Don't think it's very useful though.

Standing-scissor-kick?! Hmm, don't know how to explain this move. You have to watch, It's really nice!

http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=Rabona32

You need to be running the opposite way of a players strongest foot who has a low weaker foot accuracy. i.e running right with recoba.

Good players in ML ver 2

Played through the first season and just finished the first neg. period in season 2. I've realized that some players just don't have what it takes. It's important to have players with good stamina (on the midfield), and condition (should be over 4 for all players).

The goalie Lewis don't seem so hot anymore... There is a Swedish goalie Fredriksson (he's name is in JAP in my ver2 patch but the jersey says Fredriksson) who becomes available in the second transferwindow after start. He develops slow but wil avarage around 93 accourding to his curve.

Best players at the moment:

1. Rooney
2. Zlatan
3. Källström
4. Babel
6. Martins

I just bought Babel from Ajax, he didn't look all that good at first look but he was really young so I thought he might develop good... Which seems to be the fact. And when I tried him He scored to goals the 10 last minutes.

My current team:

GK: Cech
D: Heitinga / Vomme
Källström
C. Ronaldo / Rooney / Cassano / Gerrard
Zlatan
Robinho / Martins

I don't quite like it though, Cassano is tired all the time, Gerrard cost all my budget and isn't showing me his worth.
C. Ronaldo also gets tired all the time.. Bit on my bench I have sweet players like Fernando Torres, Gilardino, Babel...

Babel is good but the others feel like they are to good... What's your opinions? Should I trade away Torres, Gilardino, Cassano, Gerrard?

I also have Adu, Cesc, Diesler (a couple of seasons before he gets bad), Schweinstagger...

Quality Posts mate, made very good reading and im loving the standing Scissors, as soon as it come out as Pes5 il post, not that the posts will be worth it by then - im sure you will have ragged the game by then!

You say Rooney is one of the best players you have?? is it like 4 where the players that originally start on the game ie Adriano, Rooney ect don't really progress as well as some of the players that are introduced ie Bos, Van Den Borre ect? Rooney wasn't worth signing as his progression curve was pretty much peaked at the start of play?? please tell me he has a more progressive curve for his age!!?? seeing as this man is one of the best players on the planet!!!?

Yep, He is really good... Starts of with about 85 in everything... Lots of starts to... They gone wild on the starts this year... Many players, even not so good ones have 4-6 stars, sometimes even more.

He should develop to about 93 in everything... I'll think that should be quite OK for a Rooney-fan?! I'm not 100% though since I've been screwing around with stats and ML just to see what could be changed and stay changed once starting a new ML (Answer is everything!!!).

I think the R2 shooting is bull. I haven't experianced anything possitive or different. But however I think that what everyone means by it is that When you run against the goal (i.e A breakaway) you hold down L1 for running faster... If you shoot while holding down L1 the shoot will be crap. However if you run with R2 instead you will have a slower pace and should therefore aim more accuratly. But i just run with L1 and then let go before I shoot.

BTW It's much easier to controll the dribbling now on R2...

If you want to shoot from far out you have to have good Shoot Accurracy, Shoot Power, Outside star and Middle Shooting. You could also have just luck! I often try to come in an angle...

Example... Pretend the goal is at North, then come from the Right side (From the South East) and run towards the goal (NW)... Shoot in the West corner... Should do the trick!

Cheers mate, not really a 'Rooney Fan', just glad the fat Ba*tard is English!

That really let PES4 down I thought, the fact that people like Ronaldo, Rooney and Adriano (some of the worlds most exciting players) wasn't really worth signing, they were pretty much dead wood from the start..
Also, please can you tell me.... are WEST HAM present??

Being a Hammer myself im hoping the prospect of starting a ML with the lads could be pretty good as we have an awful lot of young players..??

Cheers for your insight mate.

Meaning we can edit a player's stats and they will stay changed in the ML? Fantastic, i was sick of going teams with severely underrated players.

Nice one angelpure....is it possible to do a season long loan transfer on WE9 ML?

Hi, I coudn't answer before... Had to rush off to catch a bus. I haven't loaned a player myself but I tried to loan gerrard first before I bought him... Didn't succeed though. But it should work because the option was there... But hasn't it allwas been possible to loan players?
The thing that doesn't work is to loan one of YOUR players to another team. I don't know why. In the old game (PES4) you had to play with every player you wanted to be trained...

In WE9 the players will become better during the season, and during the offseason with a new training system. The old system you had to train every player in different areas... Corners, Shooting, Passing etc... It took forever but gave alot of extra stats. In this game the stats will grow less fast (which is kind of a shame) and you cant train in the same way.. Now you choose for every player what e should train on, i.e. Headers, Shooting, Rest... And then simulate a training session.

If anyone is interested in knowing more on this I'll explain futher.
