Ok, so my mate is playing online on PES5. Just normal PES5, not patched or anything. ( I was playing with him about 2 hours ago and my PES5 is completly pure ). And he is playing a guy online, now what confuses me is why Van Nistlerooy is playing for Real Madrid ( i know he moved to them - but have they updated they team squads then ). Sorry if this is just me being blonde...

I dont really know why i blured names, guess i was bored :D

Could be that the online roster is updated, but then it shouldn't match I think. Or PES is only checking .exe file or something like this.

Haha I love how you fail to mention the fact he also has Emerson and Fabio Cannavaro :p. I think if you transfer them in your OF but don't change any stats then this trick works, though I may be very wrong as I've never played online.

EDIT: Found out from Valmir (in the same thread, why two threads on two forums?) the real answer:

basically in the 0_text theres a file called "param_dat" which is what the Option File is originally created from, and what the online game loads because Konami were stupid to think people wouldnt edit it

Yeh, I saw the same thing for Chelsea. My online opponent played Chelsea with Kalou and Shevchenko.

How can I also play online with the most updated teams?

I have the latest optionfile, but don't know how to update the param_dat file
Can someone give the answer how to get this working?

You shouldn't really do it because it is effectively cheating. Unless you KNOW you are playing people who also have done it.
