Controlled shot is weak?

It seems like whatever player i use, rooney, sneijder, messi, their controlled shot (shoot+R2)seems to be weak, the animation looks great but the ball just floats and travels so slow, even when i put full power, and the keeper always saves it.

I hate it when R2 shots go 5mph so lofted, it looks unrealistic at times. For it to be powerful, you'll just have to hope as its random at the mo with me. But you have a higher chance of curling it fast with a player with the skill card 'long range drive'

When the AI does a controlled shot, it is a nice low one. So maybe dont charge it up too high. If you charge it up all the way, its a nice lofted shot.

So in your case, maybe dont charge up too much.
