Converted a FIFA fan in 2 days!

A friend of mine loved his FIFA 2003 (PS2), insisted that it was an allround better game than PES, I think this was mainly down to the graphics and animation. Despite this he started to become frustrated with FIFA's gameplay, especially when I kept humliating him with zig zagged runs. So I pulled out a 5 minute demo of PES2 and said, maybe you should play this, you'll like it. So he did, while he was being stunned by the awsomeness of PES2 I started to compare different situations such as corners and crossing, in just 20 minutes he had seen the light! Today he goes to part exchange his copy of FIFA 2003 for PES2. My friends, it is ignorance that blinds these FIFA fans, I urge you to give your friend a go of PES2, because when they've had PES, there's no going back.

We had a 2 player game, at first I took it easy allowing his to get players into space so he could see how beatiful the through balls worked. His decision came when I told him about the edit mode and the classic teams.

It's bigger than you think. The person who was converted is the person who's house we play games. We got the group hooked on Quake 3 in one night, this move could potentially create 5 to 7 more PES fans. These would then recommend PES to other friends/family, this could have a domino effect on the whole of Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding boroughs. If Konami can't be @rsed to advertise PES than t is up to us.

A lot of people just find PES too hard (idiots) and want the instant gratification of FIFA. Bit like the diff between a relationship and an one night stand? Sorry for the rubbish analogy!

NickSCFC, you said you converted your friend by giving him the PES2 demo, which I also had. i didn't actually think that demo was any good (no, not because i found it too hard!!) and it almost made me not by the full game. I guess that shows how bad FiFA is when your friend was amazed by a not to good demo. if he had played the full game then I would be surprised if he hadn't been amazed.

It's an OK demo, you get to play as England, Spain, Germany and Italy, there are also 2 stadiums to select, you get about 5 minuites playing time.
