Then head over him?
He punch it then shoot straightaway while he's getting up?

The only reason for me to do that is if I have no other taker or I'll feel it's my good day and it'll curl in at the far post.

Otherwise, no thanks.

My player in the middle usually gets his head to the cross first, about 7 out of 10 corners. I score with about 5 out of 10.

Best one recently was a corner from Zidane, headed back across by a Brazilian defender, then headed out by another defender then headed against the bar by another defender and then Henry headed in. Nice

I curl it to the right of the kicker from either side of the pitch.

Nice on Zygalski!!
I usually inswing it to the far post then nod in.

I don't read the ball as well as you though.

The other way I use is short pass, which guarantees 100% chance possession, then I'll see what I can do next.

The opponents usually close down on me if I do so.

Use the SMF from the opposite wing for an in-swinging corner towards the near-post...or between the corner of the 6-yard box and the near post to be precise.

I'd love to be able to reliably flick it on to a team-mate at the far post.

I hate it when the keeper gets it.
If he punches it away and I have it it's still okay.

Have any of you scored like Scholes a few years back?

I think that the COM DFs do start to suss you after a while. Not sure about the keeper. But it is a lot to do with the angle into the box and where you place it. I only ever really hit it about halfway on the gauge.

Scored a few by hitting the ball in very fast & low for another player to smash into the roof of the net

i normally inswing to the near post & nesta glances it in. He's scored 12 goals this season :)
(Bearing in mind top scorer Crespo has scored 17)

There's two main tricks I use:

1. Rifled cross to near post, either along the ground or whipped in. Normally out-swing the whipped cross, and drill the ball along the ground in-swinging.

2. The far post ball, which evades most players. One of my forwards normally back-tracks and nods it across for someone else to latch on to.

Then there's the ol' trick of hitting the near post from every corner and hoping for confusion.
