Ok guys this is crazy, but is it cheating?

I saw on PSN that PS3 PES is only £15.99 and I knew that I could trade my hard copy in for a £20 so I thought why not as it'll probably load quicker etc.

So I buy the digital copy and install it and then wow!! I only get 4 messages in my inbox saying I have Mario Gotze, 10,000GP, some stamina and a Black ball player as well :w00t

I got Zlatan Ibrahimovic as my other player.

I also have my old team all intact as well :w00t

I wouldn't call it cheating. I can't see many people buying a 2nd copy of the game to get more players, they would probably be just as well off using the money on microtransactions.

P.S. It is now 12.79 and not 15.99

I think it's a better deal than Microtransactions cos one, you can sell the game back and make some money and two, you don't get guaranteed black ball players even if you buy 3,000 coins as someone in the forum complained about.

Fair point, it's not like it can be exploited to badly though as you can only buy the digital copy once (I think).

It's just that I got Ronaldo as my Team of the Year player so I wouldn't want my team to reset to default if I buy the digital version!

Yes mate... you keep the team you have now and then get another Black ball as well as another TOTY player

Yep, just tried it and I got Gotze, Alaba, Stamina recovery and 10 grand. With my current team of Vidic, Jackson Martinez, Smalling, Ribery, Hulk intact

If you can return your hard copy, I say this is a good bet to get two more black ball players and stick it to the Konami

I would as well usually, but there isn't even an instruction booklet in the case this year, so no loss for me really

There is a new deal on lads, only 17.99 for the digital version of PES on the PSN if you have PS Plus, and only 19.99 if you don't.

It runs out on the 22nd of Jan so plenty of time but worth it since you get Gotze and another Team of the Year player!

Won't let me download, says I already own game, or do I have to delete hard copy? Don't want to risk losing all until I find out for sure, lol.

Guys, if i have a digital version on ps3 bought together with my friend (exactly he bought the game and share me second slot) do I have to delete a hard copy and buy another version to get a player from the "UEFA best 11" - I do not have any messages in inbox firstly to use this special agent. I do not like to lose my team that I built...

No, I just downloaded it and got the xtra players and gp, it will be in your inbox.

Not sure how you can 'delete' a hard copy. To be safe, just save your team data before you buy the digital copy. When I did it, i ensured that the hard copy was not in my console(PS3) and i was able to download the new digital copy with my team intact and additional players as well.

Also sold my hard copy to game for £12 credit.
