My team at the moment is just coming along, and I know pretty much where I'm going to with it when the money becomes available:

I've got a host of other crap players on the bench (as you generally do early on) who I'll hopefully sell. Djibril Cissé (self-created) and Nicolas Anelka are two notable bench-warmers.

The team that I already had created which was "finished" as it were (which I then deleted in a rash clear-out of my memory card) is this:-

MC - Nedved (it's surprising how little players can actually play as MC's - they're all AM's or DM's)

The two up-front were there from the very start, and they out-stayed challenges from Vieri and Shevchenko, amongst others, for their first-team spot. Sentimental value, if you like.

I personally try and get a team filled of different-ish players from the "norm," so as when I play my mates with our ML teams it's not 11 sets of twins on the field. They always have Thuram-Carlos-Nesta-Cannavaro-type defences, and Shevchenko-Ronaldo-type strikeforces. *sigh*

Do you find that the Carlos-Nesta etc team tends to do better or does yours?

There are a few CMs (unless you did mean MCs - Bo-Selekta!) such as Mostovoi, Keane, Scholes, Hargreaves, Butt, Vieira and Pires,
But you are right, there aren't many.

I found Nedved to be not a CM but he is all the other types of Mids.

Edit your posts instead of writing new ones.

Anyone one build a good team on the normal levels but it takes some degree of time, effort and quality to make a good team on extreme mode.
You still haven't said what level you built it on.
For all we know it was built on easy mode which is not going to impress anyone.

I don't really care about your poxy little championship.
It doesn't sound like the quality of your opposition was too high unless you can provide some evidence.
I know at least 10 guys at the PESTAL tournaments in London who could beat you at PES2, including me.
You may have won the Division 2 of PES2 tournaments but see how you would do in the Premiership.

And BTW, what is your definition of "high stakes"?

I am more than 7 years older than you so don't think you can call me a "kid".
Particularly since you're the one acting like one.

I dont see the point of building these great squads.

If you have all these players it means that there is no competition from comp teams as you have stolen all their decent players.

I won on extreme mode every league in just three seasons not just promoted won including ml championship which i didnt know exsisted. I won so quickly i didnt have enough money to buy these players you go on about i just used mpenza babingida olisadibi etc.

It has always been the problem with these games even on the ps1 there just arent enough good players to go around.

i am now using the premiership patch and have upgraded a lot of players as seen on this forum and it is a lot harded thank god.
fighting aggainst game over to try and get out of third division.

I have been playing iss games since the nes version internationa superstar soccer.

I notice that a lot of people use "retired" players. Personally, I just can't use them as it doesn't feel right. When everyone talks about their PES exploits does this mean that you all select "yes" to the option to let the COM buy "retired" players?
