Custom soundtrack for Xbox 360?

A few questions about adding a custom soundtrack to PES 2011 on the Xbox 360:

1. Playlist title should be "KONAMI_PES" correct?

2. What's the limit on files you can add? Last year was 64 I believe.

I didn't know this was even possible! How do you even do this, using a memory card, option file, or directly onto the 360 HD?

You have to rip music from a CD onto the hard drive...

And the PES manual says you can add MP3s, but I'm pretty sure you have to add songs to a playlist with a specific title... "KONAMI_PES" I think...

From there I think the songs will show up in the game, though like I say I'm pretty sure there's a limit...

I think you can use this to add chants too, which can then be assigned to specific teams.

Crap... I guess you can't do it this way...

For the 360 you have to play files from the dashboard:

Must not be a lot going on in Saskatoon. :)

You'd be surprised.

Actually, the fact that there aren't custom soundtracks on the 360 is a huge letdown for me.

1.) I'm a music buff, and being able to edit my own tracks, on a regular basis would be sweet.

2.) Using the dashboard is totally not cool. Too much effort and constant interuption of the game experience to be worth doing IMO.

3.) How come the PS3 has it but not the 360? Why is it that other 360 games allow this but not PES? I sure how the answer isn't that they think using the dashboard is an acceptable solution.

4.) The bottom line is that I play a lot of PES, so listening to the same songs over and over and over and over and over for a whole year, no matter how good they are, drives a guy nuts! Especially if you live in Toon town.

Agreed. Last year for pes 2010 I was on the PS3 (which is why I assumed the 360 had custom soundtracks) and had a long list that played during highlights.

Yeah, may as well just use a stereo system or an ipod or something... The dashboard is not a good solution.

I have no idea. It's such a small bit of code, I really don't know why they would leave it out.

I just turned off all the music, with the exception of a small list set to play during highlights. The thing is, the songs will only play if you actually select "Highlights" from the post game menu. They won't play during the highlight reel that plays right after the game. Last year on the PS3 the custom playlist would play automatically once the end of game highlights started to roll.

From the manual, page 11:

"System Settings

Playlist Editor: Listen to the game's background music. You can also change the background music that plays during a game. It is even possible to use your own music files. To do so, you must have music imported as MP3, AAC, ATRAC, WMA, or WAV files onto your system's hard disk drive or to a Memory Stick."

Stinkin' liars.
