Worst piece of crap AI scripting in the game.
Usually i get pes a few days after the release date, but this year I hesitated since i'm kicking ass on Warcraft but OK.
I decided to have a go at it, I was doing Christmas shopping for my son and I got my copy of PES as well.
To my surprise it felt good ..it actually felt like PES 5.
I usually played a few games, tried the "new"Copa Libertadores but my main focus for the last few years since it started has been BAL. I was wondering what "new features" there were this year.
I set up my player with speed and shooting as my main focus and joined RODA JC.
I immediately noticed that you couldn't take the bal for a stroll over the pitch anymore simply because you'll instant get like 3-4 AI players on you...first dissapointment but ok...It simply pushed me to create space for myself, run into open spaces and be more aware of my teammates, to give good passes..I swallowed it under the section "realism".
U know the stuff u purists ( *cough* shaun 77 * cough* ) tell people like me when we complain
Passes?..yes passes.. the thing where you put your foot against the ball and you press the A button and it ends up with a teammate....where as I notice, all evolves around this years Bal next to speed..that was no more :no: ..dissapointment two...you now have to work with the cursor and point to where you want the bal to go.:crymore:
The thing is that Konami seems to think that because you start at the age of 17, a (accurate )pass between 5 yards is something u are able to do when your 26-29 years old.
Than came my other main feature. I was searching for the shooting bar to noticed that it went from a straight line to a circle..that was also new :happy: ..I thought maybe the circle would prefent me from ballooning shots when i was 1 meter a part from the goalline..dissapointment 3 :shocking:..it is much HARDER to time a shot now than last year, ah well maybe Seabass thought it would convince me to but the game this year too...because other thab that the circle is pointless and the straight bar would do....Seabass 1 Me (the sucker again) 0
Ok I must admit some thing changed for better..the 100 rainy out of 105 games were thrown out...finally..and i like the (repetitive) manager feature..They finally got the extra time stuff straightened out and the songs at the beginning are nice."Cinquanta Milla"..rings through my mind...BUT that's about it...because:
- Penalty view ( Konami gets a BIG WTF???!! ):realmad:
- Teammates IQ ( I mean pursuing a ball that's destined for a goal kick and turning it into a corner, so the AI can score the decisive goal..C'mon Son ) :shocking:
-Referee calls ( If Nigel de Jong style tackles multiplied by 1000 is only good for a yellow card..or in most cases no call at all...with Jim "sounds like I have a cold " Beglin saying good tackle ...is beyond my rationality ):w00t
-Players bending over and freezing after the ball has been stolen :unsure:
-3 seconds between actually pushing the shooting button and the player actually lifting his foot is..is..:crymore: It actually seems like while your press for shooting u immediately trigger the AI defending you to tackle...because they have to be real mindreaders sometimes to know what your about to do..
- Sub at 60-70 minutes..C'mon Seabass I KNOW U HEARD THAT ONE BEFORE ON HOW ANNOYING IT IS...NO UNDERSTANDY ENGLISH HUH ??? ..yeah I would use that one too
Not to make a long ass list but the above mentioned things really dont do the rest of the game justice..and its a damn shame because I almost....almost....relived the GLORY days of pes
