Anyone out there old enough to play pro evo3 with their kids??

I used to kick my sons butt on pes2, but since i got the new one, he's using all the great new tricks to beat me every time.

He always plays as Man U, and regardless who i am, Real, Arsenal, Barca..........I get a good kicking.

I desperately need new tips so I can show him I'm not TOO old.

I also get really agitated when he beats me, just tonight I sent him to bed and switched off the PS2 in a strop.

Now I feel pretty guilty, though the little sod was smiling as he went up the stairs.

Am I being too hard on him?

4-4-2 diamond midfield and 3-4-3 diamond midfield is great for stopping them young kids

4 at the back is solid for stopping any wingers - I'm guessing the kid dribbles a lot? Patient build-up play will aggravate them and get them to make rash challenges. If you play on 5* they will get more bookings than you.

btw folks, i'm playing 3-5-2 (with just 1 DMF) right now. How can I set up the defensive strategy such that my CB would only mark the opponent in the middle of the box or just stay there instead of chasing out to the opposing wingers down both flanks? my CB chased out 9 out of 10 times. it always leave the box completely unguarded.

ringu, my suggestion is to shoot the ball whenever you have the chance. don't wait for a perfect scoring chance. also when u'r attacking to the right, just press the right D-button when u'r shooting. in this way, your shot-taker automatically aims at the holes (provided he's not that shitty).

P.S. pass more, dribble less.

I love the fact that he was laughing as you sent him off to bed, knowing fully well that he got the best of you. What an evil little turd!

I find that younger players are much more aggressive and less tactical,so do the following.

1. play 4 back on defense. Frustrates young kids when they get picked clean time and time again. All my mates are agressive and they pay for it. Last night, my "defense first" startegy got me an 8-0 win wth Ukraine over my buddy as ENgland!! My boy was pissed off!!

2. Diamond midfiled to let you pass the ball around. That'll make him chase the ball with R1 and tire his players out for the second half. He'll lose his cool, too.

3. Possess the hell outta the ball and only pass when you have to. Kids hate that.

4. If he plays aggressive man on man, then look to your radar and get the ball to the offensive player with only one defender on him (blinking). Once you get the ball, let your kid be the aggressor and make a move. Then juke around him (Shimmy, sidestep, etc) and get past him.

5. 1-2s work wonders on aggressive players, too. Totally exposes them and pisses them off to no end.

6. If you have fast wingers or striikers, then aerial thru ball to them AS SOON AS you steal the ball in their half. Yo uusually get a sweet one on one situation and eliminate 4-5 defenders in a single second.

7. Learn hot to chip effectively cuz kids alwys bring the keeper out. This will get you a goal per game against an aggro player.


Hope that helps. If it doesnt , send his ass to boarding school.

You only played one match? I usually play in bunches of 3-5 matches and I can lose maybe one of them. If I lose one, I'll definitely win the next one. They lose their concentration after a while too

2) play him out to the wings forcing crosses(so put a defender with good head and jump stats in the center)

lol, practice, and if he keeps using winger mark them.
and when u get the ball clear it, hopeful to one of your own, never play it out, i got court bably that way, get a tall attack to nock it down then a way with a conuter attack
