I started my BAL on Professional difficulty and 10 minutes per game.
My players is a short SS, after the scout match, in which I scored and made 2 goals, I was given the choice of either Aston Villa, Fulham or Sunderland.
I opted to play for Aston Villa as they have a decent young squad.
After 3/4 practice matches I made it to the bench and scored on my debut. After 2/3 more sub appearances I made the starting XI and have been there since.
I finished the seaosn scoring 26 goals in 29 appearance and also notched up 8 assists. I finished the season with an avg rating of 7.56 which left me as the number one striker in the world.
Aston Villa managed to win the league by 2 points, Chelsea in 2nd.
During the close season I was called up to the world cup which we won (England). I didnt start a single game but finished as the Golden Boot winner and player of the tournement by notching up 9 goals.
The final was an amazing game. We beat Spain 4-3 with me getting a hattrick and scoring the winner in stoppage time!
Best offer I received at the end of the season was from tottenham, who had made the champions league, but I have opted to stay with Aston Villa for at least one more season...unless I get an offer from Liverpool or Barca.
