Incorporating hip-hop culture into every aspect of the game, Def Jam: Icon delivers the intensity of a no-holds-barred street fight but with style and rhythm. Players can live out the life of a hip hop mogul, going from rags to riches. Music will effect how players fight in each venue and environmental interactions and hazards will become a key strategy to staying alive.

Anyone else going to get this game ? I downloaded the demo on Xbox Live Marketplace on Friday, and it's pretty impressive. Graphics are brilliant, and gameplay is class too.

I don't think I'll be buying this as I was a bit disappointed by the demo, But, I will most probably buy NBA Street on the 360 when it comes out. I am waiting for Forza 2 and Brian Lara though.

I enjoyed Def Jam: Fight For New York, but it lacked the depth to keep me interested for long enough, so I doubt i'll be buying this, unless there's a major improvement in more than the graphics.

Any news on who's featured in the game?

EDIT: Confirmed: Big Boi, BunB, E-40, Fat Joe, Ghostface, Jim Jones, Kano, Kevin Liles, Lil Jon, Ludacris, Method Man, Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Redman, Russell Simmons, Sean Paul, Sticky Fingaz, T.I., Tego Calder, The Game, Young Jeezy.

I haven't been following rap the past year or so, but the list doesn't look too impressive to me. T.I. and The Game being the only interesting additions.

It didn't feel meaty enough for me, unlike on fight night when you punch someone if feels good. It would of been better if it was a action game, sorta like the 50 Cent game, only good.

Apparently you build a rap empire, singing rappers and releasing their albums.

downloaded Def Jam and it was slow and bored the tits out of me, the ability to get in time with the beat to win the fight sounds interesting though. NBA Homecourt was pretty decent, got bored of the same old moves after a while though

Took me a while to get the controls right, now I have, it's even better then it was on Friday. Classic game. Cannot wait for it now.

Graphics wise I am impressed, yet I don't really enjoy the gameplay, it does seem to slow and also some things are way to unrealistic when you can throw them from one end of the area to the other etc.

However I'm going to get NBA Street for sure, really addictive demo. I don't think I'll be getting Def Jam as it doesn't impress me enough with it being so slow and it seems like it could get boring easily.

Really? I think that is the main reason I don't want to get this game.

Music is your weapon?

NBA Street Homecourt looks a much, much better option.
