sometimes when i defend corner kicks i can only control the midget. if i play as man u then i get evra!! an can only change to one other player. how do i control vidic or ferdinand as an example?

L2 ? Why L2 ?

Isn't L1 the default button to switch between players ?

Anyway If there's anything I like in Fifa it's the possibility to select any player using the right stick.

Because that corner issue is really annoying.

Yeah L1 to switch player, and in my opinion it is hard to do manually if you're on semi automatic(player's cursor), press start, go to players setting, add some assisted to player's cursor, it could help you automatically changed to the one who'd most likely to get the ball during a cross.. =)

i know what the problem is. i play on pc and assisted and unassisted are the wrong way round. i was playing on semi assisted which is better than nothin. i tried fully assisted and i now have full control. only took me nearly a year to figure that one out. anyways it works now thanx for the help. :)

hi there,

try to use r2 [just after l1 (switching between players)] with directional buttons to move player wherever you want. :D it really works.

This might sounds corny and might take a lot of pauses...
When u have a corner against u, press start, go to player options and change ur cursor settings to where u can control only one player.
Make that the player u want to defend with and u'll have ur big boss header.
After the first headbut, press start again and change back.
Works against cpu but I guess in multiplayer u'll p*ss ur friends off :p.

What I do is I wait until the ball is kicked and at half the distance to its targeted player I press L1 at that moment you will get the player covering the one targeted.

X-> PC controled defensive player on 1st post, man marking A

This is how I do it, and so far I haven't conceded any goals from corners (directly).

What do you mean : man marking A ?
If you will take a place like on your screen...( as a Y ) then atacking player A can score from the 1st post position ?
Maybe it works when you are playing against cpt but against human ...hmm..

Most of the goals i get are scored from a corner kick, I can't really seem to get the ball even if I cover the player.

for defending corner kick..
we must look player inside we penalty box..
or we mark the dangerous player on the penalty box or the tall player(crouch,adebayor,etc.)..
if the timing is good,press X if you press square or circle it will be a chance to score an own goal.
