Defending Corners

Sorry if this topic has already been asked, but it's starting to make me mad because about 75% of the goals I concede are via the corner. No matter if I'm in better position, have defenders with better headball attributes...it just seems like the CPU sets me up to fail with the corners. I can usually tell when a BS corner goal is coming when either the keeper touches the ball for a corner on a weakass shot, or some crazy bounce goes out for a corner off my guy.

Anyways, does anyone have any tips on how to defeat the retarded CPU in front of my goal?

what i try to do is stand near post and press square when the ball is near my head because i only ever concede corners near post and i dont concede ever now try that mate

I think you have to push square when the ball is at the highest part of its flight. It's not like WE9 where you have to push the button at the last second to win the header.

The computer will screw you no matter how many players you have around the eventual goal scorer. It is a joke to see 3 defenders get skied over. My favorite is the new goal. Where an attacker comes blazing in from off the screen, Michael Jordan's through the box, and smashes the worlds most powerful header past my goalies and entire defense who I can't seem to move.

Try this;

Toggle with L1 until you get control of a player on the near post, then move him into the box and wait for the corner. When the corner is taken it is simply a matter of getting under the ball and heading it away, I do this and have not conceded many goals from corners.

What I do notice is that if you control a player (before the corner is taken) and move him into the danger area then the AI will move one of your defenders away from the danger area into the area where the player you are controlling has vacated - so be careful which player you control as you dont want your best heading players covering areas where there will be no danger

Same prob. only way cpu scores against me
