does anyone have any good tips for this?

i'm mainly talking about against Inter Milan since half the online matches are against them ( rest against barcelona) and good percentage of the corners i concede.

Obviously with the likes of adriano, crespo, ibrahimavic, veria etc all being giants its hard but there musdt be something?

Hm...i think ( but this is tip which i havent test ) that one way is to put second formation just for the corners..something like 4 CB and 3 DMF, and switch on this formation just before changing the screen before the corner

Maybe also some marking in the area?

True, I think that corners are the part of this game and sometimes just you have to loose some goals, but ofcourse is very frustraiting when you play better and loosing goal just because of powerfull of some players

put full defence before the corner is given. make sure to switch to full defence before the replay shows, otherwise the strategy won't be changed until the corner is taken. get your keeper out by default, but when the ball will reach too far away from the 6 yard box let the button go, they can't score from that range anyway.

When i defened corners, if its a high cross i usually use the B button :)circle:) to head the ball away. Usually works ;)

I've noticed that defending corners in PES 2008 is generally quite difficult - even if you have defenders like Ferdinand and Nesta in your central defence.

I think by default, the CPU likes to move your centre backs out of position at defensive corners. This is why you're likely to concede goals at defensive corners.

What I do to get around this is to move my defenders (by holding R1 and R2 together) and then use the D-pad to move my centre backs towards the opposition strikers so that they are at least in a position to mark them when the strikers start to make a run to get a header on my goal. When the corner comes into the box, then just press square frantically.

This has reduced the amount of goals I've conceded at corners.

Like the above post I do something similar... When the ball comes in I'm usually one of the defenders in the bunch and I hold R2 and try to push my way in front of the opposition. I sometimes get the ball and clear it with a header or I also push the attackers out of position so if they do get it, they head it out. It's frustrating not being able to always get it but if you get them out of position they'll have a hard time scoring.
