Hello Konami, I have had a major problem with defending on PES 2010. When playing against a friend of mine during an exhibition match, he uses Brazil and one of the players he overuses and makes the game very frustrating is Robinho. I will consider myself an adequate defender in that I utilize slide tackles when I need to and pressure the attacker at the appropriate time to retrieve the ball and regain possession. Not only that but I do apply the strafing technique as well as use the double-team button to try and win the ball.
But, whenever my friend passes the ball to Robinho, he uses him in a way that degrades the sport of football. He just dribbles straight through my defenders and I feel that no matter how much I try to pressure, double-team, and slide tackle him, he ends up scoring with that player. Not only that but large and skilled defenders such as John Terry and Rio Ferdinand seem to not defend properly when I apply the pressure button. Many times, I found that they miss the player completely when I do apply the pressure button and I become extremely infuriated when a small player such as Robinho is able to go through John Terry or Alex as if they are some sort of an invisible wall you can walk right through.
Now my suggestion in improving the next installment of PES 2010 is to incorporate some sort of realism in that a small player such as Robinho will be shoved back by a physical player such as John Terry. Also, I would like to have an improved physics engine where players do not move through other players as if they are some sort of invisible wall. Not only that but defending must be improved so that when I do apply the pressure button, my defenders do not completely miss the ball.
