when i'm attacking down the wing with a really fast player i am sprinting past the defender then out of nowhere the defender somehow manages to sort of pull me back and barge me out of the way and basically i'm wondering how this is performed? with which buttons? any help defending on this question and in general would be very helpful.

Are you referring to that stupid animation when the defender catches you from behind and just won't let go? Then kinda punches you once or twice and then steals the ball away from you. I always lol at that. Try to slightly turn left or right so it gets harder for him to stop you. Better yet, pass the ball before you lose it; there's no escaping if it's a good defender with at least B speed and physique, no matter how fast your player is

when you are the defender chasing the attacker, spam the tackle button to intiate the physical conflict, when you are the attacker you need to keep super canceling in between the dribble touches. Keep timing this super cancel correctly and the physical conflict will not be intiated. PRO!
