The demo release of Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 will be available on Xbox Marketplace and PSN on October 3rd 2008. As with last years demo, International teams will be featured in matches of either 5 or 10 minutes. For 360 users, matches are played at the new Wembley Stadium. While matches are played at the Camp Nou on the PS3.

Teams include: Brazil, Portugal, France, England, Italy, and Netherlands.

Seems a bit more realistic. It was on Wikipedia last night and its still there this morning, surely it would have been verified and removed by now if it weren't true. PES 2009 demo coming out to coincide with the release of FIFA 09. Bold move by Konami ?

Not necessarily.

Whilst it may turn out to be true in the end, it is nothing more than a random rumour for the present.

Do NOT use Wikipedia as a trusted source.

i did read it. but like the others have said wiki is not a good source. there usually should be asource along with the article on the wiki page

I was just making the point that its been there for a day or so and not been removed, usually things like that are verified and removed pretty sharpish. Its just another possible date, and it seemed more realistic than the other mooted date, the 25th

i think 08 had 6 teams, and FIFA demo does. however see people using wiki as asource for pes info is getting frustrating now, if you read wiki fair enough, i do for other things from time to time, however there should be a link to another webpage where the original information is, wiki doesnt get the news exclusivley, its just information from various websites

The most obvious would be 2nd of October that's what a SONY guy said to my my brother who works at Nintendo. But he could be fooling him.

He didn't give any reason so take this with a pinch of salt

Just looked at the PES2009 wikipedia page, they claim that all 32 teams in the Champions League are licensed.

Of course they are. All 32 teams in the CL will be licensed, it has to be. Given that the CL has exclusive rights to each team that participates, and Konami has bought the CL license, then each team is obliged to supply its licensing to Konami. As ive already mentioned, it would ruin the CL licensing if CFR Cluj was playing North London Blue.

That would be an epic fail...
