Diving?.

Is there any need for it now?, I have'nt seen one shirt pull yet and that was the way to know when to dive in 2009.

Anyone dived successfully?.

i havent dived. i dont really see the point. the whole time i had pes08 i dived once and failed

however i have had a few people try dive on me. first time the opposition did it in the box and well the failed and got carded
and the 2nd time was outside and they managed to get a freekick. there was a tiny shove and they went over

how?, theres moments where a defender sticks a foot out across you in the box and your player stays up, unless you have mercurial reflexes to hit L1, L2 and R1 in that split second, you'll be carded for simulation.

Thats why I want to know if there is any shirt pulling cause i have not seen one instance.

Its an attempt by Konami to make the game more realistic and appealing. Unfortunately it seems Konami has taken up their own social responsibility for football by making it nearly impossible to get away with it (when it happens all the time in real football). This is also evident as Konami will refuse big transfers no matter the amount of money in master league. Realistic or are they putting their own input in the game?...hm

this is a good point. the way diving has been put in to the game is almost cartoony, i.e. you can dive but you'll either get a free kick, about one in ten times, or you'll DEFINATELY get booked.

they should make it so there's an even distribution of free kicks, bookings and the ref just ignoring you

if you manage to dive before the sliding defender hits the ball you might get away with it. if the defender miss the ball after you fall you might get nothing, you might get booked or you might get what you want.

all of this happens to me regulary, over a season though, I get more pain than gain from Diving, too many yellow cards to be worth it, really.

I guess diving should be a last ditch effort. Hopefully I will never have to use it. =D

i have to admit i used it when i was losing 2-3 against my friend in the last ten minutes i was going for an unbeaten run of nearly 34 games against all my friends so i dived when running at an angle the ref red carded his defender i scored 2 goals in 4 minutes due to the gap in his team i love it!!! im still unbeaten now for 76 games against them!!

yea well... you see while most people simply complained about online, I loved playing pro evo 08 and 09 for this diving feature... it's still hard to achieve, but with practice it becomes another recourse within the game

I've never dived in a football game and probably never will.

I won about 5 penalties in 2009 and loads of free-kicks.

This year i've tried about 15 times and got 15 yellow cards!!

i dont really use it becuase sometimes you can get in to great positions for a chace on goal and then waste it on a dive and probably get booked.

Sometimes I just feel to dive... its fun when you get away it. The trick seems to be when you think you gonna get slide tackled you can just dive and will often get away with it...
