Do transfers & edit data apply to League started before the edit?

I'm about to start a league with a friend and we'll want to make transfers around the mid point of the league akin to the January transfer window.

Please tell me that transfer apply to the leagues? For some reason Konami took this off and made leagues lineups fixed from game 1 which was utterly pointless as no league in the world starts and ends with teams with exactly the same lineups.

So far I have a champions league running and I've changed player stats and made transfers and they have not appeared in the champions league campaign and I cannot find any setting to effectively apply the changes!

no they did allow transfers for a long time. All the PS2 games did and definitely the PES with Ronaldo and Owen on the cover allowed it and I'm almost certain I played a league in which I could transfer on the PES that followed that. It was only either last season or possibly the season before that that Konami decided to pointlessly change it. Whats the point of a league when you can't make transfers or alter stats?!!!! I seriously see no justification in this restriction! They must know that transfers are an integral part of the sport!

Its a total rip that Konami think we all want to play their crumby Master League, the laws of gravity may as well not apply in that mode its that unrealistic. Really disapointed that they've locked out a transfer feature for no reason. I wouldn't mind so much if the teams were updated, but they know that any gamer with the smallest of knowledge of football is going to go straight to the edit mode to sort out the inaccuracies.

So let me get this straight I have to edit EVERY SINGLE PLAYER in a given league before I can play a league? That is total horse shaaaat!

I'll never go to Fifa but its things like that that seriously make me consider abandoning Pro Evo. I have no mode to look forward to playing. Its such a drag having to make a spreadsheet on my PC just to play a league! Its takes any fun out of it as its not just pick up and play
