Do you use the directional buttons or the analog stick?

I suppose that most people use the analog stick, but i was wondering if there's anyone else that uses the "old" way....

I am wondering what the strategy guide has to say about this.

My thinking is that the analog is inferior as there's no truly analogue movement in the game (8 directions = 8 directions), so you get more precise control from the Dpad. I'd love to know if there's a good reason to use the analog.

i really dont know if people play better with analogue or digital. i personally always play with analogue and maybe you could say it makes it slightly harder when your dribbling on the ball, as someone already said its not as "direct" as the digital controls. i'd like to know what system the players in the pes leagues use

ive always used the analog stick, it just feels more natural (in conjunction with the right stick) however i use the directional buttons for free kicks (shooting) because i feel that i have more control then

i dont know many people who use the 'old' way

i only use the analog coz it feels more comfortable but i haven't tried using the d-pad at all with any of the PES games...

D-Pad 4 me, also...

The analogue stick sucks, and I've been using it an awful lot as I have no choice when I get gangsta mode and play GTA San Andreas...

D-Pad here too. only use analog for car games or when the game FORCES you to use analog .

I use the analog for footy games, but take free kicks and penalties with d-pad because you can get better control on them.

I use either the analog or d-pad depending on what type of game i am playing (d-pad: drving games etc, analog: footy, platform games etc)

D-Pad all the way, just cause it's what I used on the 1st game and now I'm too used to it to change......

50!

115 and Counting...
I only use the analogue stick when my fingers hurt too much to use the D-Pad. ;)

:eek:hmy: They won't remove the d-pad will they?.. i find using analogue stick very frustrating!..:(
When i played GTA San Andreas.. a few months back.. i was cycling along (you have to use analogue in GTA:SA).. so i'm cycling along going back to grove street .. i turn the corner an CJ (my character) does a stoppie!.. No cries me.. and gets twatted full pelt from behind by someone in a car!.. :realmad: Naturally i go flying off my bike.. its the same with other games.. although mostly in sports analogue's crap!
Its like you try to turn with a football player and its almost too responsive.. in fact the only time i've found analogue to be really usefull was the TW series.. yes i know its made by EA!.. but they used the analogue perfectly.. its functions and the buttons setup were designed specifically for a flog game!:D
Just my thoughts.. oh and btw.. I use d-pad for PES just in case anyone was going to reply post asking..
