I've burned a dvd-rw movie but it played in black and white on PS2, you may need a chipped PS2 or somthing like that.

Not for me

I use the Swap Magic DVD version to launch the game (no modchip) and it works only with DVD-R not -RW.

It all depends on the model of your PS2. I have an old machine and DVD-RW work fine, but it also depends on the brand of DVD-RW/R. Some makes just really are shit and the PS2 has trouble reading them full stop. Try burning the image on a Ritek Ridisc or similar (they cost about £1 each) and see if that works.

Another thing; I'm new in these editing things, so there are a couple a things that I'd like to know. Here's the situation: I don't really want to download those enormous 100 or 200 mb files, for I'm only interested in changing some kits manually, using only Bitmap files of the uniforms (I'll try do do it with the Obocaman's Graphic Studio and burning the ISO file to a regular DVD-R). My question is - is there any chance that the game will crash and stuff if I execute these steps?... I know these are silly questions, but I'm just afraid that I'll spend money for nothing! If any of you could help clearing things up I'd be thankful.

If you do it correctly, then there is no reason why it shouldn't work. Just make sure you when you burn it to a DVD you have nothing else open, and you dis-connect from the Internet.
