Does the ps2 version of pes2008 work on ps3?

May seem a silly question but i don`t know if it does.Just that if they don`t get a patch sorted for the ps3 version i`m wondering is it worth getting the ps2 version?

If you buy the 500Euro version it will. But why play ps2's pes2008 on the ps3, you don't know what you're missing :)

PES6 was fine on PS3. It jumped for about 10 seconds at the start of your first game then it was absolutely fine.

PES 2008 works fine on the PS3 as well. I prefer it to the PS3 one but if you have the money get both.

Again, I played PES6 online on the PS3 since March and it was fine. I don't know where everyone is hearing about it lagging or not being able to be played, it was absolutely the same as on the PS2.

The PS2 version of PES 2008 lags online at the moment regardless of the console it's played on. Once Konami sort this out it should be fine playing it online on the PS3.
