Hy, i´m new to the forum, but i play PES2 for a while now....

My question is....´

Does Training in the master league do anything to the players stats?or is t just for you to train your own skills? this is a doubt i´ve had for a long time, and it would be cool if any one could help me.

By the way...

Any tips for Free Kicks??

As far as I know it is to improve your own skills.

I think there's a free-kicks thread somewhere in the Hints and Tips forum, quite a few different approaches described there. :D

I just noticed that you can play injured players in training as if they were fit.
Don't think there's anything else.

Does anyone play friendlies in the master league pre-season?

I haven't yet and don't think I will unless there are great reasons for it.

You can earn some extra money if you play the preseason games, 200 for tie and 400 for a win I believe and you do not pay fees to your players either for these 4 games. So I play them when i am starting out and need extra cash.

It is only useful for practising tactics and skills such as free-kicks. If you have nothing to practice I advice you not to waste your time.

the training is the best place to practise free kicks cause once you know how much your free kick taker can curve the ball then free kicks simple unless that dam kahn is in nets

play pre-season games if you have promising players in your team thats the only benifit unless you want extra money but this only helps in extreme mode

if you have just bought a lot of new players these pre season games are useful to boost their team work stats. it's also a great way to improve on your promising players if you play them and you get some extra cash and you can still make transfers in between these games... so, why not?

If you have a promising player and you want his stats to be unbelievable play pre season friendlies against weaker teams and really thrash them and he will sometimes receive 60 points!!

the master league training mode does jack shit. it just saves you having to quit the master league and select training mode from the main menu.

You shouldn't really be playing the ML until you've trained a lot so it kinda defeats the purpose!

i always play the pre-season games, because i like to play the game... no one ever thought of that...the whole season you played the same teams (ok in the cup you get to play division 2 teams) so i use the pre-season to play against some other division 2 or 3 teams.... for a bit of change...

sometimes the training option comes in useful, if you buy a new keeper for example and want to see how he does on free kicks and penalties, etc.

You also can do transfers at the same time. Plus it brings your players fitness up b4 the start of the season (if you pay a lot of attn to the fitness arrows.) The big advice point here is that PES2 likes to seriously injure one of your players (namely a striker) in these friendlies. So try to rest your strikers if poss and only bring them on if you're losing (but you never do that, do you!)
