Anyone who prefers attacking down the flanks is going to be labelled as a cheat who can do nothing other than exploit the games flaws. And it is all because of the fact Konami are inept as a games developer these days. They've released a woefully poor game that is only the slightest improvement upon its predecessor. But because they have given it a lavish lick of paint many fans are in awe of PES 2010. "It has real currency!", "The Master League has been restructured!", "There is an official soundtrack!", "The graphics are breath-taking!", "The game speed has been reigned in a touch.", etc, etc, etc. All of these are at best superficial changes that affect the core gameplay very little, at least for those of us who were not solely reliant on dribbling.
Yes. It is not far more difficult to dribble. Yes. It is now more difficult to sprint to the touchline and score from a cut back. But these flaws have not been fixed. They have effectively been swapped out for two new easy-to-score methods; one being from crosses, and the second being from long distance shots. As a result of that it's going to be a similar story "... cheat who exploits flaws..." for those who like to have a dig from longe distance, because they're going to score quite often from such efforts, just as with attempts from crosses.
So in order to get a good honest game of football, that is not an arcade high scoring goal fest, that provides a challenge, and does not see you labelled as a cheap game breaking exploiter, you have to remove wing play, limit your long distance efforts, and use only the below average teams. And put the blinkers on so not to notice the abysmal player annimations and the "lack of effort required" on-the-rails passing.
But it is still a very good game of football! It has real currency and top notch graphics!
