Edit Mode PES 2012

thats the problem ppl think konami r lazy 4 not creating lots of leagues as i said above this is becoz fifa have bought the rights to these leagues if konami put them in as fake leagues along with the brilliant edit mode fifa will complain as it will seem as a cheat way to get the licenses for pes e.g. lets say fifa pay money for bundesliga
pes create fake bundesliga, fifa have the upper hand here as their bundesliga is licensed but if konami have good edit mode were players can successfully license these leagues by theirselves it will seem konami have got bundesliga for free, this will then turn into a law suit eventually sueing konami, thats why konami have a limit and teams they can license in the EPL and certain bundesliga teams like bayern munich.

I agree with you but then I raise the following arguement...

If PES has 2 licensed EPL teams, how come EA hasn't raised a law suit against Konami for the 'fake' EPL? Is this not similar to the Bundesliga situation?

I'm not saying you are wrong btw. Just seems strange in how both cases are pretty similar to me. If you can show me otherwise I'd be happy to accept that. :)

i wd think theres a limit e.g. they will have to have one or the other (league) and the premier league being the most popular konami have gone for that anyway i think EA's licensing for bundesliga terminates 2014 then konami will be able to negotiate the license.

I think the reason for the lack of a fake Bundesliga similar to what we have with the PL is due to the Bundesliga themselves. Cant remember for sure but I think they threatned to sue Konami a few years ago

I wish we could unlock all the players from the bundesliga .. It would make things a lot easier to replace the Portuguese ones

Yeah but then moneybags EA will come along, offer 10x what Konami can and retain the license as they always do. :(

Ohhhhhh that makes sense. Can't see what the problem is though really all it does is promote the teams from that league to the players of PES. :S

exactly, and that proves apart from EA expansive animation department , licenses is the only aspect that holds fifa together and so called "triumphs" pes.

My hopes (wishlist for PES12)

1: XBox 360 to have full range of import options like PS3. (Images on stadiums etc)
2: Wider range of options in stadium creator - to make enclosed bowls etc.
3: When creating / editing team - to be able to edit location / rivals etc.
4: Al lot more shapes and templates for badge editing.
5: Add outlines to numbers and name lettering again.
6: More kit templates.
7: Clone various attributes from different players like in old PES games, such as say if I wanted to give David De Gea Pranjic's face - I don't have to base copy Pranjic entirely over De Gea and then default everything.

And in no way does FIFA 'triumph' PES in terms of gameplay imo. The fact that they have slick animations is in their favour, but the lack of creativity or knowledge on the CPU team is ridiculous. On the harder difficulties especially, even teams like Barca decide that the best way to score is to pass the ball down the line and cross- something Barca would never do irl. Again, players like Heskey and Carew will peel out wide and then put inch perfect crosses into the box with their weaker foot...

At least in PES players have some individuality. Players like Carroll and Heskey rarely go out wide and use their sheer size and strength as an advantage instead. Players like Downing and Young supply decent crosses more often than weaker crossers like Lennon per say.

And despite this, just because FIFA has the proper badge and kit for almost every league they have in their game, more consumers prefer their title to the less licensed PES. :(

This would be amazing news! Seeing Sir Alex's face when I beat his United side in ML... priceless.

Also, I try to preach it to my friends, and even convinced one to buy PES 2011 last year which I was proud of. Unfortunately, my others all stick to FIFA, but only really because of Ultimate Team (I have to admit, I loved this game mode for years but this year it just grew a tad old for me so I quit early. :L). It's a shame cus they don't know what they'll miss in PES 2012 compared to FIFA 12.

Again I'm going off a bit here, but imo FIFA 12 just sounds like a slightly adjusted FIFA 11 with a few new features such as 'real-time injuries' (or whatever that crap's called) and 'precise dribbling' (Another way to make useless players good at beating people...). At least PES has shown the overhauls in actual gameplay videos from the perspective of a gamer, FIFA have just shown promo's of theirs. :|

/Rant. xD

Does anyone know if the edit ML team is back in? I loved being able to change my strip each season without affecting the exhibition strip? Also I'd be interested to hear what any og the OF creators like the guys from GTMPRO are planning on doing with Birminghams sponsor this season? Just leave it blank? Or pick one of their weekly sponsors?

Something interesting with regards to editing socks. In training mode corner kicks, check out the socks from the corner. There is a konami strip and PES emblem on the sock. Maybe we will be able to edit socks. You can't see the front of the shorts from that view.

Good spot, I'd call you a sad bastard for noticing;) but I almost spunked myself when I saw the new sqaure nets.

PES is all about attention to detail.
