Id it my imagination or is the Europa League in the ML much more difficult than regular league and cup games? Just finished the first half of my third season of my first ML game (top player, started with originals). Havent played Champions League yet.

My players seem to become as responsive and maneuverable as oil tankers (even more so than usual on this years game)

Opponent AI seems super quick and super skilled. My group was Celtic, Gothenborg and Napoli, and I finished third by a point. Admittedly my team is fairly poor, but I have defenately noticed a marked difference in the AI. Just another irritation to put up with I guess.

On a similar note, every single time I start a new Master League, I cannot get past the Champions League group stage. Never. I lose almost every game every time. No matter that I am beating better teams in the regular national league. Now I just don't bother playing those matches. It's like the computer has decided I am not going to win no matter what.

Its not just you! I qualified for europa league in my first season in the Italian league and didnt win a single game in the Europa league despite some poor opposition (FC Cluj!). The AI seems to speed up somehow.

I have had the opposite happen to me in my secon season, i really struggled in the league, ended up finishing 6th as ac millan. However in the europa league i had no problem beating every team.

I did ok in the Europa League actually wining it but the final was a hard fought battle with 11 goals scored and only one goal separating us after 90 mins. But it was fun. I think that tourney play should be harder its win or go home where as league play is 38 or so games so you can make up a lose or 2.
