Can you only get these 2 awards if you are playing for teams such as barcelona and man u? bercause i've got better ratings with mid class team like villa but can't win european and world footballer of the year

I got the european award while playing for Bologna F.C. you just have to score a lot of goals and win a lot of Man of the match awards

You can win it with any team, though winning silverware definitely helps, especially CL. It's all about match ratings. Break into the top 5 chart for your position, and you'll be well on your way.

I got European POTY my third or fourth season, I think, while World POTY didn't come till I was 26 or 27, when I topped the midfielder rankings.

I got the european footballer of the year at 20 years old while playing for Olimpique Marseille and winning everything (champions league, ligue and cup). But I didn't get the world footballer Rooney got that...

I won both just now. At 22. I won everything, and scored like 80 goals. So yeah, you can win that in any team, provided that the team does considerably well in the game.

I havent won yet, though im only 19. I single handedly pushed DUtch team NAC Breda to win the Eredivisie, and the Netherlands Cup. I won all the awards there is to win in the dutch league( top scorer, most valuable, assist leader) in both competitions, scored around 50 goals as cmf, provided assists, and got a rating of 7.66 for the season, i am also overall top of rating rankings....

Yes, mine its south american.
I've been getting Europa POTY since my second season, but the World POTY don't... and refusing other theorys, I'm max scorer of the ranking, max assister of the ranking, and also the better rated player in my position.
I remember getting this award in pes2009, by being man of the match in every match i played.

Well, as far as I know, to get European POTY you must be playing in European team (or just play in European team, be the best, then switch to non-European team and you will still get the award for the year that you were good at while you played in European leagues).

As far as I know, you can't play in a non-European team in BAL... at least on Xbox360
