Edit all the teams in the game to play more attacking football.

Go to:

Game Plan, then Assisted Settings, and then the Last slider and move it to no.4 (play more attacking or something like that it says).

Now start a Master League and set up your league whatever way you want.

I am loving it. I have only played 4 league games so far but my Cup Game against Boca Juniors was amazing. It went to extra time after they equalized with 5 mins to go to make it 3-3.

They actually went 6-3 up in extra time only for me to get a late consolation goal to make it a more respectable 6-4.

The attacking football they were playing was brilliant. Their players were playing some delicious one-two's along with step overs, feints and spins.

I consider myself to be quite good at PES and this is on Top Player starting with Celtic and their real players.

By moving these sliders it doesnt seem to affect their defending capabilities either because I am still finding it very hard to score goals. I signed off last night after beating Spartak Moscow 2-0 at home and believe me that score flattered me because my keeper, Artur Boruc, pulled off some great saves.

I am looking forward to January because I have tied up a deal to sign Roque Santa Cruz for 8.2 million. Cant believe I got him! Maybe moving my scout to a five star helped with the negotiations.

I really urge you all to edit these settings. Trust me it really does improve the game a lot. You will no longer get the computer AI passing the ball about relentlessly at the back and midfield. They really try to attack you and play some great football.

Thanks, wouldn't hurt to try as I'm currently not really happy about the attacking skill gap there is between online and offline, the AI not being really interested in scoring.

Interesting idea mate. Do you have to edit every individual team in the game though or can you do it once and change every team to more attacking?

And are teams such as Man U and Barca's sliders already set to number 4 as they are more attacking then someone like Bolton?

Personally I think Konami should have had all these set up already, possibly different approaches for different teams etc.

The middle option on the slider, No. 3, is set to balance between defence and attack, so maybe this could be an option also.

I changed to No. 4, More Attacking, for all the teams in the game. It honestly doesnt take that long to do. Possibly half an hour.

What console are you on because I might be able to upload the OF for your benefit.

I had previously downloaded Daymos and Cowsons fantastic OF for the Xbox 360 and then further edited this way. I mentioned this to Daymos so I dont know if he has tried it himself or plans to do so for Version 2 of his OF

I might try changing a couple of teams and see what I think before changing them all. It does seem strange that Konami have not already set this up themselves so each team is more individual?

Unless they have and it only changes during a match? I was playing a Champs league game the other day and cruised into a 2-0 lead against Sporting. I thought I was gonna win 3 or 4-0 but Sporting really started attacking 2nd half and it ended up 2-1 and could easily have been 2-2. I don't know whether this was the AI automatically changing the sliders mid game or not?

I'm on Xbox 360 mate but I'm not online so the OF will be no good to me. Cheers for the gesture though

Yh it does and boy does it work. Im finding it hard to get wins in alot of games and the opposition do come forward alot more and play alot more football. I'd say their chance creation goes up by about 30%

Believe You mean if you have a ML save already, will the edited data be reflected in that game.

I can't accurately comment but I did this to Real Madrid before I played them in my ML and O boy they went for it, so it could've.

Tried it, and after playing a good 10 matches with the new settings, I have to agree that this really works. The AI still passes it around in the backfield, but as soon as they see an opening they take it. A lot more through balls and counter attack play on their part. And if I leave an opening in the middle, they take it, rather than senselessly passing it back or out to a wing.

Everyone looking for more of a challenge in single-player should definitely try this. It's a whole new game now.

Wow. It makes perfect sense. I'll try it. But will it effect you players aswell? Will they attack more and look for more open spaces? It should be right? Since your other players will be AI controlled.

I always thought that the AI took control of such setup, especially during the ML season.

Isn't this the case again. When I'm in front they come at me more and when ahead they keep it tight.

I can't believe this thread isn't getting more attention. This easy tweak really does change the flow of the game, and makes the AI much more aggressive on the attack, which seems to be one of the game's biggest shortcomings among those of us who otherwise love it. Rama, this was a great find. Cheers!

Nice one Rama 78 this is a good find.I was finding the regular too easy and pro too hard at times and now i have change the attacking slider regular is a bit harder.

I can't confirm, but I don't think the edited settings affect a currently playable ML. My guess would be you have to start over. Just make your own experiments... play some exhibitions games and advance your ML a bit, and see if it does take effect or if a slight change might've happen.

This would be my suggestion... I would confirm it to you, but still, I have to wait late December to purchase the game & early January to take a better glance than in the demo...

It would be easy to find out. First go to edit mode and just change the attack level setting for the team that you're using in ML, then load your ML and start your next match. Go to game plan and check to see if the setting is at 4.
