according to some! If you do any of the following its cheating/ being a lamer / or cheesing (depending on where you are from you call this exploitation of the game differently)

If you :

-use turbo too much
-cross the ball into the area
-the dreaded flying header
-cut back passing for a shot
-use pressure on defense
-long range shooting with certain players
-dribbling too much with Messi/Ronaldo/Rooney
-attacking down the wings with fast players
-scoring on corners


Maybe through passes should be banned as well? as should free kicks?

Soon we will be playing a game where everyone just walks around as to not "exploit" any part of the gameplay.

jajjajajaaja, good post man...IMO its all about a more balanced gameplay... no one of the list are cheat for themselves.

Is the abuse of one or more with a high rate of success without anything you can do or the combination of 2 -3 things on your list...the real problem...


Anyway... the game is playable enought...but is far from a good PES game...like 2007s and after....specially online.

By the way, today play FIFA 10 online and it is just BIG PILE OF SHIT...even PES with the lag and all the issues is IMO better...:huh:

As of the topic, I read the other post and i just lol-ed pressuring is cheating?:w00t don't really know how we should defend, maybe we shouldn't..
Also read something about people calling early crosses cheap...correct me if I'm wrong, early crosses means those crosses that you make when you press L1 and Long pass? If it is then this claim is just as stupid as the one above


As for people dribbling with messi and ronaldo...i really don't mind if its actually "dribbling" but most of the time all i see people do is have those two run for their lives down the lines, and cut back in for a shot x 9999 in a game.
I played against real madrid today with chelsea and ashley cole is probably the best left back in the game, but i couldnt even get close to ronaldo once he starts sprinting. you could stop them most of the times, but it gets really annoying after a while, especially when they score like that. I wouldn't call it cheating however...to me its just kinda meaningless when you play like this.

Football is such a beautiful game because there are so little restrictions to the way you attack.

many moons ago i used to play with newcastle online ,and all i got was barcelona boys using the cut back ,while i played beautifull passing football ,i got huge pleasure in playing with the lesser technique of newcastle knowing that thier forewards were twice as good as my defenders ,the pace of their passing was twice as fast as my midfeilders ,and their defenders were as quick as martins and owen ,i even used to applaud them when they ran from their own half with ronaldino beat six players attracted half my team to him and then calmly slid it through to eto who assuredly exploited the cut back with henry ghosting in front of my defender to knock it past my keeper who dives desparingly back from the near post and then go HAHAHAHAHAHA

it made me determined and tough to learn not to get passed and dribled through ,to learn how to defend against fast wingers and the cut back how to use R2 and posistion my defender and time the tackle ,how to anticipate balls down the wing ,in short playing online and seeing how other users play ,regardless of what there doing being deemed cheats made me a much better player and because i could adapt to what was thrown at me

the point i`m making is ,against the CPU you learn how to attack ,against a human you learn how to defend

here's what I'm having problems with:

When I'm leading and doing fine, the other loser who uses Barca or Real will be able to beat me simply because of Ronaldo or Messi. I don't care how good defender you are but it's not about defending anymore, its about Messi and Ronaldo being able to run 150mph and not be able to be caught. I'm having 3 defenders chasing Messi and you can clearly notice he's pulling away much faster. Messi is just incredible when he runs at full speed and when he starts to curve and make a cutback attack forget about it, your not catching him. This is not real football. Real Messi can be stopped but not the one we have in PES10.

I have been using Chelsea and Porto a lot and most of the time I lose because I can't stop Messi, even with the best defending tactics and man mark and all that. I can't blame the player for wanting to win, but if your every single attack is pass to Messi and run then how is that any fun. 3 times out of 10 Messi will outrun you and will put in in the net either from a cutback or himself.

Same story goes for CR9.

I don't mind losing when I'm losing the right way but to lose heart braking games because Messi and CR9 are on nitrous oxide is just plain bad.

It's a video game, if you don't know how to play and win, dont play, dont complain. I agree what next turning on your Xbox is cheating, picking a different colour uniform. I feel you, great thread, Same people cryin, damn man, man , man,man, wow I dont play cheep, but at the same time I dont care if someone do, Im up to 690, usually benfica, now some Inter sometimes.

i think konami got the scaling of some statistics wrong..making fast players way too good.

as for cut back goals, i don't moan about cut backs, its how they got to that position to cut the ball back that pisses me off. I score quite a bit of cut back goals myself, but i pass my way to that position unlike most, who runs down the line for 50 yards..make a 90 degree turn inside before they go out of bounds and then start sprinting again before they cut back. Maybe if they only do it once or twice its fine...but thats all most of the people do when they use barca/argentina/rm with their 4-3-3

I totally agree with you.
I score from cut backs too, but not after a friggin 50 meters solo run down the wing, if I score from a cut back its after a some nice passes that got my player into a cut back position WHEN HE GETS THE PASS, not after running through the whole pitch.

Ratings and W and Ls mean nothing when more than half the games are lag fests! I go from mid 600s to mid 400s on a weekly basis because haft the games I start i just quit because of the button lag.... Oh and my ball is flat, has been for a while and Im not in any division and can't play in the CL tournaments..... boohoo! LOL!

As for me playing like a "lamer", at lest thats what I think you're implying... I play people from this board all the time and they could assure you thats not the case.

Messi and CRonaldo are both amazing players, but if you defend well you should be able to stop them more than 80% of the time. It's all about making them go where you want them to go, rather than following them down the wing when they're ahead of you.

I play mostly 2 vs 2 ranking with my bro, mainly as England, Arsenal and Spurs (he's Spurs and I'm an Arsenal fan!) and we generally beat most Barca/Real fools. You have to accept that they'll play the "get it to CR9 or Messi" and defend against it. Usually the players that do this are poor players generally, and easy to beat in my experience.

It's all about the first chance they get - as soon as the star gets the ball in the game you need to get a tackle in. If you get the ball or foul they won't have a blinding game - it's set up that your first action determines how well you'll do, just like in BAL. If I start amazing on BAL (as in get an interception or shot on target within the first 4 mins) i know my player will be buzzing for the rest of the match.
