F1 2010 [PC/360/Ps3]

Does anyone know when the next Formula 1 game is coming out?? I believe it is being done by Codemasters, but can't see anything about it on thei website. Also heard a romour that it won't be coming out till 2010, yet still be based on the 2009 season which would be ridicolous.

Any help is appreciated :thumbsup:

As it stands, October 2009. Shitty timing as the season will be over by then so the hype will have dwindled regardless of who is champion.

Yer, I mean if PES came out at this stage of the season the sales figures would drop greatly from were it to be released at the usual October time, near the start of the regular football seasons.

The first Formula One video games since 2006 will be released later this year, software developers Codemasters said on Thursday.

Having secured the official licence from F1 at the conclusion of the exclusive Sony deal, it was announced that games will be produced for the PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Wii.

Games for the Wii and PSP (PlayStation Portable) will be released this year, with ‘next generation’ versions to appear in 2010 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.

Wii and PSP will get F1 2009. The PC, 360 and PS3 will get F1 2010 which will have superior features including graphics.

Good find, though from the sounds of that the game will be coming out in 2010, but still based on the 2009 season, which will be very dissapointing if true.

Its going to have to be the way things are going - who is going to care about the 2010 season if it doesn't include Ferrari, Red Bull, McLaren, Brawn etc.?

Oh, you're right. I completely forgot about all that goings on. But even if they can't bring out a 2010 season game due to all the teams threatening to quit, it's still gonna be rubbish having to wait till 2010 for another F1 game. EVen bringing it out in the build-up to Christmas '09 would make a lot more sense.
