The Truth About Fatigue
Well I finally got fed up with accumulated fatigue off. 15min 6* leage mode(38 matches) and RVN will always notch around 34 league goals for me. 10min 6* without accumulated fatigue its kinda like hockey, the AI teams will run box to box at full speed, all season long, and when u have possesion and try to build up a play the clock runs out lol. So you're forced to play same style unless u wanna win every game 1-0. But as soon acculative fatigue is turned on, its back to realistic, normal paced football.
So I read the official guide to get a better understanding of the stamina situation and player attributes. I look at Rooney and he played in 36 consecutive premiership matches this season, being used as a sub only twice, and subbed off only twice (3 times if u count his injury). Then I look at WE9 and his condition is only 4. Even Nedved (stamina 96 condition 8) will only last around 6 matches b4 his bar is almost full. But the worse are the goalkeepers lol.
If you read the guide u'd know that stamina only comes into effect once u go under 50% and another hit once under 20% (red zone). Stamina only affects physical attributes (top speed, acceleration, response, dribble speed, and jump). All other attributes are dependant on form arrows and consistency. Mentality does not affect any attributes and only applies to players not under your control. What it does is if your team is losing, or once the player hits the 50% stamina mark, mentality determines whether the AI controlled player will keep running and looking for space, or just stand around.
I finally cracked it so here is the solution. Its very simple. If you can't afford to rest a player, just don't rest him. Don't even sub him off if you're losing. Players I didn't rest for ManU: Van der Sar, Rio and Rooney. They were irreplaceable for me. Rooney and Van der Sar filled up the fatigue bar in 4 matches. I continued to use them, starting with 60% stamina. By the 75min mark of each match, they were both in red zone but did I sub Rooney off? Not a chance. Why? he may be tired, but remember, so is the opposing defense. His mentality is 80 so he is still making runs late in the match. His technical abilities are all there, his special abilities are all there, so why sub him if you're losing or tied? Van der Sar made many fantastic, point blank saves while in the red zone. Rio made great tackles and good reflex clearances while in red zone. And Rooney and Scholes scored great goals around 80min mark, all while in the red zone. I gave Rooney his 1st rest after 14 straight matches (his 1st blue arrow). Van der Sar won't get a rest unless he's injured, and he finally can get injured now.
I used to prefer fresh legs, Park, Alan Smith, or Flecther after Rooney is tired. Now I know, a red zone Rooney is much better then a fresh Fletcher. Now I take back what I said about Konami screwing up. 1 more thing, the official guide will tell u not to use red zone players as they have a high chance to pick up serious injuries. Well just look at Rooney, shit happens. For me the chance wasn't high enough to worry about and I'd gladly take the risk if I have to.
