Fatigue finally solved

The Truth About Fatigue

Well I finally got fed up with accumulated fatigue off. 15min 6* leage mode(38 matches) and RVN will always notch around 34 league goals for me. 10min 6* without accumulated fatigue its kinda like hockey, the AI teams will run box to box at full speed, all season long, and when u have possesion and try to build up a play the clock runs out lol. So you're forced to play same style unless u wanna win every game 1-0. But as soon acculative fatigue is turned on, its back to realistic, normal paced football.

So I read the official guide to get a better understanding of the stamina situation and player attributes. I look at Rooney and he played in 36 consecutive premiership matches this season, being used as a sub only twice, and subbed off only twice (3 times if u count his injury). Then I look at WE9 and his condition is only 4. Even Nedved (stamina 96 condition 8) will only last around 6 matches b4 his bar is almost full. But the worse are the goalkeepers lol.

If you read the guide u'd know that stamina only comes into effect once u go under 50% and another hit once under 20% (red zone). Stamina only affects physical attributes (top speed, acceleration, response, dribble speed, and jump). All other attributes are dependant on form arrows and consistency. Mentality does not affect any attributes and only applies to players not under your control. What it does is if your team is losing, or once the player hits the 50% stamina mark, mentality determines whether the AI controlled player will keep running and looking for space, or just stand around.

I finally cracked it so here is the solution. Its very simple. If you can't afford to rest a player, just don't rest him. Don't even sub him off if you're losing. Players I didn't rest for ManU: Van der Sar, Rio and Rooney. They were irreplaceable for me. Rooney and Van der Sar filled up the fatigue bar in 4 matches. I continued to use them, starting with 60% stamina. By the 75min mark of each match, they were both in red zone but did I sub Rooney off? Not a chance. Why? he may be tired, but remember, so is the opposing defense. His mentality is 80 so he is still making runs late in the match. His technical abilities are all there, his special abilities are all there, so why sub him if you're losing or tied? Van der Sar made many fantastic, point blank saves while in the red zone. Rio made great tackles and good reflex clearances while in red zone. And Rooney and Scholes scored great goals around 80min mark, all while in the red zone. I gave Rooney his 1st rest after 14 straight matches (his 1st blue arrow). Van der Sar won't get a rest unless he's injured, and he finally can get injured now.

I used to prefer fresh legs, Park, Alan Smith, or Flecther after Rooney is tired. Now I know, a red zone Rooney is much better then a fresh Fletcher. Now I take back what I said about Konami screwing up. 1 more thing, the official guide will tell u not to use red zone players as they have a high chance to pick up serious injuries. Well just look at Rooney, shit happens. For me the chance wasn't high enough to worry about and I'd gladly take the risk if I have to.

 I wonder if my comment or yours more harsh on Fletcher. He did score the winner against Chelsea  . Hope Rooney recovers in time for WC. It wouldn't be the same without him :(

Just realized the thread title should be 'the truth about fatigue' as I didn't solve anything

Anyways, u guys try it and lemme know if your game got better or worse. Even for ML teams with a bench that would make Real Madrid's starting 11 look silly, keep your central defenders and goalkeeper in there for the entire season, only resting them during unimportant cup matches or when their arrow is grey. Goalkeeper I keep in regardless of his arrow. This might save u some money in the defenders and goalkeeper substitutes area.

Yea mate its been working for me, I got sick of thierry missing every other game in my ML, so i decided fuck it! Hes still banging in 2 or 3 goals a game even with his fatigue. I still think its a bit shit though

Believe me my strikers get injured so much when i play them when they are fatigued!this is why i have drogba, luis ronaldo, pauleta, keane, ibrahimovic podolski and klose so i can afford to rest star players :D well only the 1's in the foward line :(

:D Thats what I was thinking, Theres some players I wont take off, in WE10 it's better , but if you've got a player with injury C almost always as soon as theyre tackled they get injured if theyre down to red so take that into account. Working out a good way to rotate your squad is just another thing we all have to get used to, but I think particularly in PES5 it was a bit extreme and WE10 it's better but you still have to rotate your squad.

Well...for my Chelsea team, i had 2 teams basically as Robinho and Raul got knackered, so the next match i played Mutu with CRonaldo just behind. I had to switch every game. But reading this, i will leave them in. Cech was also poor fitness, I have 37 year old Toldo on bench though ;)

Wow I'm glad this thread actually helped people

I've finally been playing ML and the fatigue works much better there. Some players I'll leave on every match such as R.Ferdinand, Scholes, and Rooney, provided that they're green arrows which is just about every match in ML. I rarely see blue or grey arrows. From disregarding the fatigue bar, Rooney and Rio are getting more exp and they've only been injured for 2 weeks after 3 seasons. And once u develop their stamina to 90+, the fatigue builds up really slowly.

One thing that really helped are the league cups and champions league (provided that u already qualified for next round). This is when I use my B team. During that weak I'll use my 1st team, but the cup match I'll change almost every player. My 1st team will be considered rested and after the cup match they'll recover 1/2 fatigue bar

And also some players just won't get fatigued if u find the right place to play them. For me, Oshea as RB, R.Ferdinand and Vidic as left sided CB, Alan Smith as right sided CMF (2nd season), and sometimes C.Ronaldo as LWF. I've restarted my ML 4 times now and its the same for those players every time. So when u get new players, try them out in different positions n u might b able to find a tireless worker

Forgot to mention that I rack up over 20 yellow cards and 1 or 2 reds. I slide in often from behind in midfield. As long as its in midfield it'll never be a red. Sometimes u'll win balls, especially with sliding experts, and if u accumulate 2 yellows oh well the player will get rested

Nah, you have to sub players when they're spent. Honestly... once i tried i shot-fake with a player who was on 0 stamina and he was sooo tired he couldn't pull it off.
When players are fucked, they're fucked and fresh legs will be better.

Depends on who those fresh legs belong to imo. Like I mentioned fatigue only affects top speed, acceleration, response, dribble speed, and jump. That means RVN won't be blowing past defenders but put a ball in the box for him and he'll slot it in almost every time cuz his shot and finishing remains the same. Put Saha on and he might blow past some defenders but trust me this guy misses a lot. Ur not wrong tho, just personal preference. I prefer quality over pace.

I'm doing a ML with Real Madrid and i'm on my 5th season, i have a quality team, almost all of my players have 90+ stamina so it's not that hard to manage their fatigue. I'll only rest a few key players on the cup matches. But i just started a ML with Tottenham, and although some players always have a place in the starting lineup (Defoe, Davids, Robinson and Andy Reid) i feel the need to rotate the rest of the squad, especially the wingers. They get tired quickly and it starts affecting their game. I can go a game without subbing anyone, but most of the times i use all 3 substitutions.

so why not play with accumulated fatigue off?

Can't do that in the ML. I've played a few seasons in League Mode with no fatigue, very boring and easy. No injuries...

I also found that with accumulated fatigue ON you rarely get players with shit condition (the blue or grey arrow). Stick it OFF and you'll get a fair few of these. Players with shit conditions have their stats affected.

fatigue is killing my Man U team at the moment just started a new master league with them on week 23 or something and almost every game one of my players gets injured and i do rest them saha has been out since the start of the season for 20 weeks still got another 6 to go i bought torres to replace him but theres been around about 8 players that have had injuries during this ML so far and im 2 points behind AC with the other top 14 teams in the game chasing me and im having to make breaks through 6 star defences with dodgy subs that are half reliable one things true take all your chances just about every game ive played ive been mugged on possesion and still come on on top well most of the time.

well, tiredness or fatigue isn't really a problem for my ml - it is the goddamn injuries that are driving me insane!

ok, in my 3rd season on 6 star, henry out for 7 weeks, clichy out for 6 weeks, baptista out for 3 weeks, ljungberg out for 3 weeks and wait for it: ROSICKY OUT FOR 43 WEEKS. there are others, it think 6 injuries total at the moment, basically the whole of the yellow subssection at the bottom it full of injuries and as soon as anyone recovers someone else is crocked.

i mean, what is that all about. 43 f**king weeks. please. what is the point when you have this many people injured? also, given i'm in the champions league now there are two games ever week so i'm missing henry for 14 games.

my starting lineup is now almost entirely 17 year old newcomers like nasri, nijkamp, bos, griffiths, park chu young etc. i thought perhaps it was because i hadn't been regulating the condition, but the 43 week injury to rosicky came after i began regulating before every game regardless of arrows.

i'm not happy about this situation at all, the last 15 games have been no fun whatsoever because every single challenge against me results in another injury, usually yellow cross for which i don't even bother subbing anymore.

i think this is a sympton of 6*. i never had this experience on the lower difficulty levels and played about 10 years on 5* without all this crap happening. basically 6* master league is a waste of time. it's not THAT hard to win but it's no fun because all the ps2 does is foul whenever your on the attack. example, i just beat barce 8-2, five of the goals were penalties as every time i got inside the box it was just another foul. boring really. i think i'm going back to 5*.

OK guys how many stars Master League Level are you playing? Keep in mind I'm not talking about game level, I am playing 6 stars and I'm not looking back. But have not yet started Master League yet coz the Master League Level is a bit confusing. So does having 6 stars on master league level mean that the players will accumulate fatigue and maybe get injured easier? Or is it the other way around? I hear your point RSI I would hate to have my marquee players injured for 4.3 weeks let alone 43 weeks... So if I wanted to minimise this from happening, would I be playing 2 stars, or 5 stars Master League Level??
