I am in america so I dont know too many Europeans players except some that appear on Premiership games here in the state side. I like the Italian National team and I think two of my favorite plaers are from there. It would have to be Totti and Tommasi. I liked Totti in the last world cup. Even thogh he was given given a yellow card for a dive in the box that caused him to get his red for a two yellows in a game. I believe that was in the knockout stage and Italy lost that game. Anyway I liked the way he played. I like the way both players are in Winning Eleven. They have scored most of my goals for me in the European and Konami cup in WE7I.

how could ne1 not like Totti? gr8 skills, nice guy, is neva a dirty player (u neva c him spittin at anyone!) and he doesnt eva cheat, like when was the last time u saw totti dive 4 instance!? his a true professional!

Cristiano Ronaldo, I think he is my favourite because he is great fun to watch (his array of lightning turns and feints), and I s'pose he plays the game the way I'd love to be able to Because I'm a United follower I suppose that counts for him too - I wish however he'd cut down on the diving a bit though.

In addition to him, my other favourites are Ronaldo (Brazil), Ronaldinho, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Roy Keane and Roberto Carlos - and although he plays for the Gunners - I have to say I rate Thierry Henry highly as well


I have also had the privelage of seeing the great Zinedine Zidane at Wembley (France beat England 2-0 in 1998 Anelka netted twice)

I like Totti for his skills. I here about his unfair play and all but I dont get to see here in the states since this place blows with soccer. And there is hardly anything on Sportscenter over here unless its Olympics, World Cup or if they decide to show Euro 2004 highlights. And he doesn't play in the English Premiership so I can't see him on fsn. Oh well. If i had to choose an american player probaly be Landon Donavan.

I'm a goalie so I'll pick my 2 players, one goalie and one outfield player.

goalie: shay given...a great goalkeeping idol for me, great technical ability, outstanding agility, and most importantly, a leader in the box, very commanding> He pulls out the big saves when needed, just his defence at newcastle lets him down from time to time.One of todays' many underrated goalies.

outfield player: theirry henry...a pleasure to watch, can turn a defence inside out, he has great vision, picks out shots AND passes that seem impossible, best player in the world...in my opinion

my favourite player of all time is Paolo Maldini, he has been an amazing defender since he was 16 for the same team, its in his blood. I saw him and AC MILAN play Benfica here in Toronto Canada in 1989, awesome to see. Hes the epitome of defense along with a good attacking style in his younger days

I think at the moment you've got to give it to Henry. He really is one of, if not the, best player in the world. Not only did he score the most goals in the Premiership last season, he also had the most assists and led Arsenal to a completely unbeaten season.

I'm also a big Ronaldinho fan, he is perhaps Henry's only rival for player of the year this year.

My favourite player of all time has to be Dennis Bergkamp! Such a class act even before he joined my team Arsenal! Maybe I am a little bias!
